I went through a number of stainless steel pressure cookers on Amazon many of them when you ask what was the PSI wouldn’t let you know what the max PSI was! I took that to me they were unable to meet 15 psi if they wouldn’t tell you. Kobach admitted to 17 PSI. I had written to the company concerning the warranty and other issues and despite being in China they responded to both emails even before the purchase! This was highly unusual and I thought a big plus. They also said it was an unlimited lifetime warranty which could easily be returned in America. Unbelievable, I was sold on how responsive the company had been! However, none of the stainless steel pressure cookers had a PSI gauge. So I kept checking and discovered the following. Three independent companies tested all the pressure cookers: American Test Kitchen, Wire Cutter and Cooks Illustrated. All three totally agreed independently with the results and only one pressure cooker actually achieved the full temperature and maintained 15 PSI according to the three results! The German Fissler pressure cookers. They had various design options but this was the only one that made consistent 15 psi, did not leak, had a substantial bottom and maintained the 15 PSI. In fairness, I do not know if Kobach was tested by the three. American test Kitchen recommended a less expensive cooker for a little less than $180.

I grew up with pressure cookers - i am now 65 and still use them. It is one of the easiest cookers I have used over the years. As long as you follow the directions you have a perfect cooker. Pressure is perfect - use the lines inside the cooker to adjust the added water. Too much, the liquid will escape on top, too little, the pot bottom can burn and change color to a dark color. Cooking speed is excellent - lots of energy saving. For example - whole potatoes cook in 7 minutes (after the water boils) but using a normal pot it needs about 30 to 45 minutes, depending how big potatoes are.

I instructions are very easy to understand and follow. worked really well.it's easy to clean up also.It's a good-sized stainless steel pressure cooker, which should be large enough for any family of five or less, or even up to 7, depending on what to cook and how much each eats. The part we like most about a regular pressure cooker, i.e. needing to sit on an external heat source, such as a gas stovetop, is that it reaches much higher pressure much faster, than an electric cooker, such as Instant Pot.highly recommend to buy
