I used this to winterize my porch for this winter for a reasonable price. It is a nice, sturdy tarp with fiber reinforcement in it. I put this up myself, with a staple gun, ensuring that I caught a couple of the fiber reinforcements under the staple. Then I cut off the excess. Does no appear that it will unravel the way it is made. Also, it is not "stretched" tight, but does not move a lot, or make a lot of rustling noise with the wind. Seems like it will do the job. You can not really see through it due to the fiber in the tarp, but it does let the light in, so the porch is not dark. If this works this winter, I will be buying more for future winters. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. USE: This tarp is tough and durable, and because of it's thickness, it doesn't have the high pitched crackle sound that thinner tarps make when the weather shifts them. LOOKS: Just like any mesh, it looks more see through the closer you get. I like the level of privacy the grid of nylon mesh provides. Plus, the mesh looks better than all clear plastic or a non-see through tarp. My friends have been using these tarps on top of their leaky green houses for decades without having to replace them. I used this tarp as a roof to put under a trellis that's covered in vines which stopped me from putting the tarp on top of the trellis. I bought a variety pack of metal hooks with a plastic coating, but the plastic coating comes off easily and the hooks stretched out after a few days of heavy winds. So in short, the tarp will be fine; just make sure the hardware you put it up with is just as strong as the tarp is. ... show more

I bought this tarp a few months ago to cover my firewood. For the last few months it's stood up to some of the craziest SC weather I've seen in my life. Wind, biblical rainfall, heat advisories, some hail. Y'all this patio gets no shade so it gets hellish out here every day. I'm talking moving my full-sun plants elsewhere sun. Only the damn hibiscus seems happy with these conditions. Cant verify how it likes a freeze, you'll have to ask the Canadians about that one. ... show more

Hard to find this size. Installed over patio. Seems durable, and so far Has survived some pretty good winds. I stretched it tight and used Strong Zip Ties.
