These work great for clamping down the snow skirt of my hot tent when there is no snow to pile on it. I lock the clip to the snow skirt and use a small stake to secure it to the ground. This has been very helpful in limiting the wind that was blowing in underneath it. So far, I have used them on 3 different camping trips, and they are holding up very well. The clips are very easy to use...you simply put the jaws over the tarp and screw them together. They grip the skirt firmly and are durable enough to have survived being staked to frozen ground multiple times. I was so impressed with their performance, that I purchased another set. Excellent tarp clips, very durable even in the wind. They are a good size and not too large. I used them to help display a flag over several weeks. They even fit into the grommets on the flag helping hold it even more secure. I'm very pleased with my purchase and will continue to use them.

Right after I attached them to my pergola cover we had a strong straight line wind storm, and unfortunately 2 of the 4 did not hold, but they did not break and I was able to reattach them, so we'll see how strong they are going forward.
