I got these for my patio curtains. I tried weights that I bought on Amazon to try to keep the wind from lifting the curtains up exposing my white tuchas when I was getting in and out of the hot tub, but they were not worth a fart in a whirlwind. These, along with some tent stakes do an awesome job. I drove the stakes in next to my patio and then attached the clips to the curtain. The bungie cords give it some give so that the wind doesn't rip the curtain rod down, but the curtain bottoms also don't come up exposing my bottom. The concept is great just not built sturdy enough. I tried using them to attach a banner to my Garage Door like it listed a possible uses and the clips don't open enough to go over the garage door rear supporting rail Also the plastic screws used for tigtening are very brittle breaking 2 of the 10 clips tips right often becoming useless.
