  • Life saver!
Amazing! My dad recently had hip surgery and I was so worried about how he would recover with limited help around. Every tool in this kit has made his (and my) life so much easier since he can’t bend at the hip. The best part of the kit is the bag- it easily stores all the items making it so easy to take the tools with us anywhere we go! A major plus was honestly the safety precautions booklet written by an OT that was also part of the kit- what a lifesaver. It saved me a lot of time googling how to use all the different tools and it was written by an OT so it seems trustworthy. My dad follows the recovery safety recommendations in the booklet and he is healing well. The book is visually stimulating with a ton of pictures and easy to understand. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Useful assistive aids are exactly what you need after surgery
This kit is well designed and a must-have if you have limited mobility! Best combo pack of all needed items to get dressed, bathed and in and out of bed for anyone dealing with orthopedic problems. The grip socks are a cool addition- they’re cozy and made of high quality material. In this kit you get 8 total pieces which is a pretty good deal for the price. Packaging was nice, all the items came neatly secured inside the storage bag. I’ve mastered how to use each assistive tool with the instruction manual provided, it’s easy to follow and good for visual learners. The safety precautions booklet also included has been so helpful in me learning about proper body mechanics to protect my joints. Would definitely recommend; good value! ... show more

  • Useful kit
I have low back pain and arthritis in my hands that makes bending down or gripping extremely hard and painful. I was relieved to find a kit that includes all the tools together, so I don’t have to order them separately. It’s excellent value for all that you get. At first, I was worried I would use the tools wrong, but the instruction booklet is fool-proof and easy to follow. Good illustrations. The safety precautions booklet also gives helpful tips for how to protect my back. ... show more

  • Great package for post surgery or for older and overweight people who have difficulty bending.
At first I didn't even know what these were all for, but a nice color use guide really helped. I can use almost all the items at least somewhat. First since I used it today with my shower, I used the long handled bath sponge brush. It gave me near twice the reach of the one I was using and I didn't even need to switch hands doing my back side. It was great for reaching the feet as well with is difficult when sitting with a shorter brush. The sponge could be soaped up sufficiently to do a nice scrub. Since I have neuropathy, my feet are very sensitive to pressure, so they won't take hard bristles as well, so the sponge is soft. Next group is kind of together the long handled manipulators. The grabber or the hook & S-tool end rod work for putting on clothes or helping to remove clothing. The hook is also used for tying shoes, and although I can't wear them for other reasons they did cinch up a Velcro strap with the hood better than I could do with my old grabber. The grabber too works well for picking up most things dropped, and in conjunction with the other tool, it will help to pick up things that tend to lie flat. The next group in the sock puller, with a hospital grade set up gripper socks, and long shoe horn, plus a loop to pick-up my feet. I sometimes have trouble stepping over a towel after bath to "floss", well you know where. Using this nylon strip with foothold works well when it's hard to lift the legs. I wish I'd known of it before I had my stall shower conversion done. It was always an adventure stepping over the tub wall, to shower with the conventional tub shower combo. The sock puller is just the right size I had a metal one but it was so wide I couldn't thread the socks on it properly, My feet are size nine, so I don't need one that big. This one is perfect size probably mated to the hospital grip socks. I don't use socks alone much at home due to the danger of stepping on something sharp, but they are good for slippery floors if you don't have neuropathy and can feel what you step on. The shoe horn makes it easy to put on higher backed shoes since I generally wear low backs inside. When I go out in public however I need a more conventional shoe so I don't step out or trip, and this helps me put them on. Again a nice package with illustrated manuals on how to use each device, and a large drawstring nylon cinch bag to tote them around. At home it may not be needed. I used to carry a grabber and a few aids when I worked to the hotel I'd commute to weekly on contract software jobs, so the bag can be useful for travel. All in all a great set, the only thing missing is perhaps a lighted cane. Recommended. ... show more

  • Would get again JUST for this grabber!
This helped while I was big as a whale pregnant but was stubborn and wanted to be more self-sufficient. The sock assister was great for regular socks and not too bad for compression socks. I used the hook a few times to help reach things. I am short (5’2’’) and I would use a lot of these JUST for the convenience factor. Now this grabber. IT..IS..THE..BEST! I own maybe 3-4 different grabbers and this is my favorite! It’s sturdy and can actually pick things up with accuracy and not drop them like others. Very easy to use and squeeze too which is great because I have wrist and hand issues and while pregnant my fingers were swollen and numb 95% of the time. ... show more

  • Very useful!
My mother had 2 hip replacements and although I was caring for her, there were times I couldn't be around. This was very useful and allowed her to still be able to take care of herself during recovery.

  • Good set
This is a comprehensive set of aids to help someone who is disabled accomplish tasks that may be close to impossible without them. I found some of them helpful. 1. Sock putter on er device. I've forgotten what it's called, but that's what it does. It works to pull the sock about an inch up the back of the heel. The grabber device can then be used to pull the sock up further, though it doesn't work as well if the socks are tight. The whole process is a little bit of a chore, but it gets the job done. Personally, I find it easier to simply not wear socks, so I won't use this that much. 2. Grabber device. Very versatile device that can be used for many tasks. Great for picking up odds and ends off the floor without having to bend. I think this is the most useful tool 3. A stick device with a bunch of different hooks and bars on the end. Good for taking off socks. Of course, there are many others, and I won't use them all but the ones I've used seem to be durable and of decent quality so they shouldn't break anytime soon. This set gets a thumbs up from me. ... show more
