This set of stakes comes in a durable bag which I love. The stakes themselves are okay for most tents and tarps, assuming the winds aren't too vicious. I did feel the hammer's striking surface was a tad small, so I replaced it with my usual mallet. The V-shaped stakes hold down tentlines much better than round wire stakes. The cordage at the top contains highly reflective threads making it easier to avoid tripping over the lines at night. I did add an extra four stakes to the bag, for a total of 12, because that's what my tipti tent needs. The price for what you get is very reasonable. Overall, this is a good kit for the price and definitely an upgrade for most tents.

Honestly, I selected this kit mainly because it came with a sturdy CANVAS bag. It does not disappoint. The included stakes and "hammer" are functional, and the bag has plenty of room for probably 50 more stakes. I added the random (different) stakes I had lying around and a couple reams of paracord so it's all in one bag. Highly recommend.

I really love the hammer tool, it's a camping essential. The bag is sturdy and is just the right size to hold the hammer, stakes, plus all my ropes and lines. I learned (the hard way) that the bag dries quicker than you'd expect. I'm not sure if it has a water-repelling coating, but I was pleasantly surprised at how fast it dried after being left out in the rain. The stakes themselves I'm still getting used to. I think I prefer the L-shaped ones for tarp lines, but what I really like about these stakes is that they don't get bent and they grab onto even soft sandy ground super well once they're hammered into place.

I'd been looking at camping hammers for a while and took the plunge. I'm glad I did! Of course a regular hammer, or even rock will do, but it's nice to have a specific one to just leave in with my tent. This hammer is really helpful at removing the tent pegs. Especially the ones like this comes with that just have the cord to pull them out. The hook is great for that, and the hammer head is a pretty good handle when you're pulling. It's a sturdy hammer and perfect for the task. The tent pegs it comes with are acceptable and work pretty well. They are a bit shorter than the y pegs I'm used to, but hold well depending on the ground. The best part about this kit is the case! It is a very nice canvas bag and is large enough to add a lot more supplies to. It would be a great candidate for waxing and that should make it last for years. Honestly, having seen the case I'd buy this for that alone. This is a decent little kit and it's well worth the price.

Most tents have the wimpy metal hooks and no hammer. Or a rubber mallet sometimes. They do the job, but for a small cost this kit is a big upgrade. The hammer is sturdy and smaller. Easy to pack in. The stakes are lighter and sturdy too. The bag is a nice touch too. Overall a good value.

These stakes are incredibly lightweight yet sturdy. What a difference compared to the steel stakes I was using before! Plus, due to their "X" shape, I find they are easier to insert into the ground as they displace less material than a large round steel stake. The hammer is nice and useful although not very heavy. Good for backpacking but for car trips I prefer to take a heavier hammer. The bag was a nive surprise, it's actually much larger and I will use it to store other things. If you were looking for a bag the size of the stakes, look elsewhere. Overall - solid product. Perfect replacement for my steel stakes!
