The media could not be loaded. I purchased a different off-brand mini chainsaw last fall. That one lacked power and was fairly useless for many jobs. I wasn’t hopeful about this one, but I received it through the Amazon Vine program for free, so I gave it a try. I recorded several cuts I made right out of the box without even charging the first battery. The power is definitely greater than my older chainsaw. I cut through a branch several times without issue or having it bog down. After I made that video, I attached it to my extension pole that works well with it. It bogs down going through the pole because of the distance power must travel through the wires. This isn’t the fault of the saw, just physics. It still did better than my previous chainsaw. The motor felt more powerful and efficient. One thing I like about this unit is that it works with my Makita batteries. I can use a bigger battery from my 18-volt Makita tool set to be longer lasting. The included batteries do not work the other way around to power my Makita tools, though. That’s ok. It comes with a wall plug charger to charge its own batteries. This is typical of off-brand tools like it. I am impressed with everything it comes with for the current price of $32.99. It comes with the tool, two batteries, safety gear, tools, a charger, and a case to keep it all in. Add to that its power capability, and it’s a great deal. The only downside is how often the chain loosened up while I used it over an hour’s time to trim up many branches in a big tree I have. There is a knob to tighten the bar on after you tighten a separate screw to firm up the chain. It works loose over time. Tightening a chain periodically is something you must do using any chainsaw, but this was above what I typically have to do. It was a minor issue, though. Don’t forget to fill it with bar and chain oil and pump the primer bulb occasionally. I have no hesitation recommending this chainsaw after the testing I put it through.

Not all 6" saws are the same. They come with different size motors and other features. This motor is less powerful, but still capable. It also has a battery level indicator and hand guard. I am really impressed with the performance of this saw. You will need to provide your own bar and chain oil. It is not automatic oiling. There is a bulb that appears to be a purge bulb found on trimmers and blowers. You press it several times and you will see oil coming out the top side of the chain. I tested it out on a 3" branch that fell in a storm. It cut the 3" branch in less than 5 seconds. Very impressive. You do not have the girth of a gas saw, so you have to hold on tightly as it wants pull away from you. The chain tension needed to be adjusted after the first cut, which is normal and easy. It can accomplish a lot with two batteries. You receive two chains and two bars. The chains can be resharpened so you may never need to buy a replacement chain unless you are using it commercially. I highly recommend this for a homeowner that needs to do the occasional yard cleanup. Tree trimming on a ladder is another scenario where this would be a lot safer than a full size saw. A professional gardener might like it as well as a quick and simple way to clear out shrubbery.

The media could not be loaded. Killer mini chainsaw. I absolutely love this thing. First off, it came in a super durable blow molded case to keep it protected and accessable. Much better than the generic tool bags that even the big name makers usually ship their products with nowadays. It also comes with not one, but two batteries, a charger, and a spare chain. A pair of gloves and safety glasses round out the package. Nothing to write home about, but at least they chose to include some basic PPE. The batteries came pre-charged, so I was able to use it straight out of the box. The charging pack plugs directly into the batteries. I've never seen this design before, but it effectively eliminates the need for a separate charging station. I really like how the batteries have an integrated LED readout to tell the charge status, as well as on the tool itself. A tiny bottle of clear oil is supposed to be used to lubricate the blade, but I just funneled in some actual bar & chain oil and called it a day. Peformance wise, this thing delivers! (as long as you keep your expectations realistic) You're not going to be felling any trees with this chain saw or anything, nor was it intended to do so. This is meant for basic trimming / pruning of small to medium size branches. I've been using it mainly to cut up kindling for camp fires in the backyard. It's much more effective than pruning shears or a bowsaw. I find myself reaching for this more often than my 18" gas powered saw out of sheer convenience for basic tasks. For less than the price of a case of beer, this is an excellent value. Build quality is more than adequate. I've been fully pleased in the performance of this tool. I did drop a star for misleading photos in the description that picture three chains and multiple bars. This package contains only 2 chains and 1 bar. That being said, the price is fully worth what you recieve in the package, I just get tired of manufacturers depicting things that they aren't delivering.
