I was apprehensive about buying a lockable gun cabinet on Amazon. Especially an off brand one. However, this gun cabinet arrived fully assembled and the instructions for setting the pin were clear. This cabinet is very light so you’ll want to mount it to studs, I used 5 lag screws. Three on the back and two on the bottom. I don’t think the steel is strong enough to resist any brute force attempts, but it’s an excellent deterrent to begin with. The steel is almost as thick as my Stack-On gun safe. I appreciate the little shelves in the door, I can keep wipe down rags there and some other valuables. I had to use this safe for all my rifles that don’t have a scope. Even an AR with a Vortex StrikeFire would be too much for the door to close, but it is what it is. The safe is long enough for a Hawken rifle or a Remington 700, but a Mosin Nagant wouldn’t fit unless you remove the shelf, which I wanted for hand guns. The door bangs, joggles and jangles because it’s not super tight, but I used some thin gasket to make it seal a little better and eliminate the noise. Lastly, I couldn’t get the silence mode to work despite my best attempts, but the alarm is nifty if the code is wrong or if kids try to tamper so that’s alright by me. All in all I would say this gun safe (which is more of a sturdier cabinet thanks to the bolts) is an excellent value. I would recommend this in a heartbeat. Heck if I needed, I would even buy another one.

I have it on carpet in my closet. It is a little wobbly and with the door open, it is just about ready to fall over. Comes with hardware to secure it to the wall so I have done just that. Foam insert is kinda loose and only has cutouts for 3 long guns although I believe the cabinet could comfortably fit 5. Top shelf is perfect for storing ammo. So far, I have about 500 rounds of 9mm and 300 blk up there and it only takes up about half of the space. I also have a mini ammo can on the floor which could be stacked but would take the space of probably two guns. Two sleeves on the door are secure and fit my handgun very well. Also on the door are 3 cutouts where I keep spare mags. There is enough space for four 30rd rifle mags and about 6 handgun mags. Cabinet is secure and easy to get open. Digital code keypad does not feel cheap or inexpensive as was one of my main concerns. Has backup key and external battery pack in case the internal batteries die when you're not expecting it. Cabinet also feature an led light on the inside of the door that comes on when opened.

For what this is, it is a pretty nice cabinet! The goal for this cabinet was to impede, not necessarily fully secure. It was purchased for a friend who needed a "safe" before he moved into his new home. Many may scoff at the fact that this item isn't impenetrable, but consider it very useful alongside other defenses in your home. I recommend to "hide" the cabinet, if possible; add network security cameras like Blink or Ring, or Simply Safe. The goal should be to SLOW DOWN a potential theft, allowing police to arrive based on your other surveillance alert(s), neighbors who may call hearing loud noises, etc.. This cabinet would really help in that regard, as it would take a cutting wheel, or a LOT of hammering and drying to open. Be sure to screw the bottom and sides to framing members in your house to realize it's full potential in this scenario. It is excellent for keeping kids away from your pew pews. The lock, based on lots of feedback on this platform, is pretty secure. It would take an extremely curious and determined young adult to figure a way inside... and, if you store your ammo separately (and well hidden) it could potentially be impossible for a teen to acquire a loaded weapon from your collection. Normally, the hardware on an item designed this way is pretty problematic. In this one, the worst was installing screws into the corners / sides, because you need a small-handled screwdriver, one with a universal joint in it, or a mini-ratchet that holds screwdriver bits to really speed up the installation, and minimize the possibility of cross-threading or stripping- WHILE allowing for fast assembly. However, if you take your time and have help, it goes together just fine. To explain with more detail- and this is pretty unusual and amazing- the through-holes and pilot holes ALL lined up prefectly!! No trying to bend flanges or panels to get the holes aligned!!! RARELY have I seen this type of assembly go so well!!! Definitely worth the price, even more so when you consider what could happen without one! Absolutely recommend this!! (It suits its purpose well, but remember, it's not a $3,000 safe, so think about that and make the most of it for the sake of safety and security.)

Cheap cheap cheap...comes completely unassembled..only hold 5 long guns..not 6, 7 or 8! Metal is very thin...we r really disappointed in this product...hand gun pockets are small..do not buy this! It is more like a gym locker! This was going to be a birthday present for our 13 year old grandson...not sure what we will do with it? Store baseball bats in it! Very very disappointing!

Wow. I live in the northeast US and this was some of the fastest shipping ever. Took like 48 hours and it arrived fully assembled. Seems decent for the price and big enough for couple of pistols and few rifles / shotguns. As previously noted if a bad guy wanted to take the guy and either destroy the safe or carry the entire thing out of your house it might be possible because this safe is not one of those $1000+ super thick walled / heavy gun safes. This is good for keeping guns and ammo secure from opportunitistic thieves, curious children, etc. Plus it helps organize everything so you have immediate/ fast access to your stuff. Finger print and pass code works fine from early tests so hopefully this safe will last until I have to upgrade in the future for more space. 😁

with the screw holes were bigger otherwise easy to put together and once i figured out that the red button on the inside was the pass reset i was easily able to change code but used the key up til which was useful it’s sturdy and fits a fair amount nd doesn’t take up too much space

It works. I got this to secure my guns due to a child in the house and it does secure it. The issue is have with it though is that the whole thing is pretty flimsy and I can see my guns through a decent gap between the door and the case. It does fit 5 of my rifles but barely I was surprised about this especially when it says it can go up to 8. To keep the guns out of reach of the kids it does the job and its worth that alone if your looking for something more spacious so all your gunsare easier to access when opened id recommend a larger model just assume that the minimum amount it can hold is the maximum.
