    • It does not remember its last state when the power is switched so you always have to use the remote.

This fan is beautiful on the ceiling, well made, and dead silent due to the DC motor. I would give it five stars, except for two things: The fan does not remember its last state when the power is turned off which means you always have to use the remote, even if you have a fan switch on the wall. I hate "warts" like that remote on my walls, so this is a major fail. Flash memory is part of almost every embedded controller these days, so there is to excuse for this - a few lines of code is all that would be needed. Low speed is not as low as I would like. It creates a nice, quite breeze, but often, I just want to have a little air movement and not necessarily, a breeze. ... show more

The fan has a nice aesthetic look, I have it on mu front porch and it looks great. Only drawback is the fact that the down rod is not very long and I have a 2 story ceiling. It looks ok but my previous fan hung down at least 2 feet longer.
