There were no Error messages or problems at all. The ink status screen showed that the color cartridge was once again full. Update- seller sent replacement with chip to be be compatible with firmware update on printer. Tried using the black ink, but printer gives error message that it can't recognize the ink and unable to clear error. Waste of money.

My only issue with these ink cartridges are a product description error. It says it contains XL Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow ink cartridges, but those do not exist. The only XL cartridges that exist is for Black. It's obvious this is an error, when you look at the image. But someone might compare the product description for this combo pack and another combo, see that this one says XL color cartridges, and decide this is the better value. That being said, these ink cartridges DO work in an Epson Expression XP-4205 (XP-4200 series) printer, as that is what I have. And they work. They also have a plastic piece that holds them secure in the box, so they won't fly all over the place (unless the box goes flying). And they even come with a nice smiley face on the side of the box, which made me happy! Price wise, they're MUCH cheaper than genuine Epson cartridges. I've read that remanufactured cartridges reduce the amount of waste from old cartridges being thrown out, so if recycling is your thing then it's a double win for you (re-usability and saving money). I've also read that Epson (and other printer companies) use methods to stop the use of non-genuine ink/remanufactured cartridges, so if it's not working for you that could be the reason. Overall, the price (and the, at this time, additional coupon discount) make this almost half the price of a genuine Epson cartridge combo pack. If you need ink, I'd tell you to buy this and maybe stock up. (And if you stock up, maybe turn off firmware updates for your printer.) ... show more

I have only tried the black and magenta so far because my other cartridges are still full. I printed a couple journal pages to see if the EaseFusion cartridges work and if I could detect any real difference in print quality, but my prints look the same as they did when I was using just the regular Epson cartridges. The cartridges install the same, but I'll have to see whether they last as long as long as the regular brand. One thing I will say is that the packaging is completely different than in the marketing pics, but if the ink in these lasts well at all, they are a great value because of the difference in price-point. ... show more
