I am an adult with severe ADD. I’ve had it all my life so I have had to come up with many tricks in order to succeed in life. My biggest struggle at this point in my life is being on time. One would think that I could have trained myself in 50+ years but, unfortunately, that’s not how ADD works. In order to keep from losing my job I set my phone alarm to go off every 15 minutes from the time I wake up until the time I have to leave the house. This way I know when I need to move on, whether I’ve completed what I was doing, or not. Sadly this still isn’t a solution because after I turn the last alarm off I still have to make it out to the car without distraction…bahahaha, never going to happen. So I ordered this rainbow clock to see how it worked. I honestly had no hope for this very much a child’s timer but boy was I wrong! The fact that I can actually visualize how much time I have left has been a life changer. I’m glad they made it brightly colored for kids because it’s easy to see and obvious when it’s being covered in solid white. This helped me get out the door in plenty of time every day last week. That is such a big deal because the stress running late causes truly takes years off my life. I’m ordering more of these so I can keep them in several rooms & buying some for one of my adult daughters who inherited this curse.

My son uses a big visual timer on his wall and loves it. So, I thought if it works so well for him, I should try it too! I have gotten worse on my own time management when it comes to collecting my belongings to leave the house for a medical appointment. Being home so much with chronic illnesses, sometimes time takes on a different feeling. I love pink and unicorns are fun! This is a cute and compact visual timer. I am able take it around with me as it has such a small footprint and fits easily in my hand. I appreciate the visual countdown for getting ready. I can see how much time I have left rather than looking at a clock and trying to remember when I have to be somewhere and how much time it takes to drive there and then getting into the car with all of my medical items. I can just simply glance at the pink section and SEE how much time I have to walk out the door. I am having twice a week medical rehabilitation appointments now. I am hoping it will help me to get there on time. So far so good. Great helpful technique for all ages. Especially for those who might be hard of hearing. Visual senses can be a helpful option. Great gift for someone special in your life. Child, teacher, parent... I believe we can all benefit from better time management. I use this with my preschoolers and they absolutely love the design of the rainbow. It helps keep them occupied and also gives them a physical representation of how much time is passing. I love that it can be silent or have an actual alarm. Most the time I use the light mode which flashes a light to indicate the timer is over, just because I have many kiddos that struggle with sensory issues and the alarm tends to trigger that. The clock itself is really simple with easy enough instructions. My only complaint is that sometimes the lines are a bit hard to see but since it's a timer for 1 hour, I understand that there is going to be more numbers and lines than say a 1 minute timer or a 10 minute timer.

I’m an adult and was looking for a pomodoro timer to help me focus on work for 25 minute increments, with 5 minute breaks at the end of each session. So I don’t really need the cute dinosaur images, but the device works well for what I need. It’s about 3.5” square, sits on a desk or table, and is easy to set. It does not tick tick tick as it counts down, because it is entirely electronic. You set the time, the dial rotates slowly back to 0 and beeps when it’s done. Tapping the top turns off the alarm. I compared it to a timer on my iPhone and it’s seems accurate. Recommended, not only for adults trying to get work done, but kids doing homework, too.

Got this to replace our broken timer in the kitchen. We prefer simplicity to the extent of just having to mechanically turn a timer as opposed to setting a digital timer. As advertised, I can certainly see this as useful for many applications including for kids with the bright designs available. Our kitchen is NOT pink but my wife thinks it's cute and loves it in all regards. In our case, the light really doesn't have a use but it works just fine. The alarm can be set on or off and is plenty loud so that it can be heard even with a fair amount of background noise. We have found it to essentially be exactly what is advertised and don't have any negatives to say about it. Overall, it's a good choice with a wide range of applications.

I ordered this timer because I've run implementing 5 minute clean up pick up sessions with my kiddos, and they will get distracted with my phone alarm and want to push buttons and change the time left which to some extent makes the 5 minute pick up less effective. They still tend to mess with this alarm a little bit but it doesn't bug me as much because there's not a chance that they're going to accidentally push a bunch of wrong buttons and order something expensive from Amazon... Anyway the rainbow with the little cloud is so cheerful that it even makes me smile that I like that you can have two different settings for volume on the alarm or just switch it to a light blinking. We haven't used the light blinking yet but I definitely can see some uses for it, especially in my office. I'd say overall the house has been a little bit cleaner since we started using this timer, which is an absolute win and makes it worth every penny.

What I like about this timer is that it doesn't have the usual clicky-sound as it is counting down. You can also see very easily how much time is left by the coloration on the dial. The sound can be very loud as well - two levels to choose from, and a flashing light option is nice to have. Only wish it had an off button - you have to wait for it to complete it's alarm function... can't stop it early like a snooze button on an alarm clock. However, it works well for what it is supposed to do!
