At first I was really surprised at how easy it was to setup: 1.just download the app 2. plug the camera in anywhere theres an outlet(it comes with a socket to male receptacle) 3. Use your app to project a QR code to the camera's view! this is genius and so much better than trying to pair or have to enter your wifi on the camera. 4. Place the camera where you want. This camera have modern features not like whats out there: - AI object detection, you can set an area of the video to detect humans so that you won't get flooded with alerts - You can talk 2 way speaker on the camera and you can listen in - Event detection, the camera only records if theres movement, so it save you storage, but you can also record 24/7. It comes with a microsd slot for 128gb and I've tested it, the 128gb will last you 7 days of continueous recording. - motion follow, this is the coolest feature, you can set the camera so that it follows someone around. - Playback is super simple with fastforward, again if you set recording to record movements only, you wont have to deal with too much to look through. - Nightmode is super clear - The app can handle multiple cameras! the single app can connect to multiple cameras and you can have 4,9,16 channel views. Other stuff i left out but these are my favorites. Not including the easy installations. This is definitely one of the best, if not, modern cameras out there for a great value. No batteries, wires or solar panel to install simply screw the camera device into an existing light socket. Picture and video are very clear. Screw it into an existing the light socket. Very easy to install, use your phone to download the app allow the camera to scan the QR code that is displayed on your phone and your in business! Many options on the app that are great! I set the area I want the camera to scan and I was able to set the camera to go on at 8:00pm and shut off at 7:00am, app alarm is set to go off when a human is detected....I learned not to set for all motion...haha...I quickly changed that option (to many cars drive by! haha) the light turns on the device when a human is detected, it rotates and follows the motion of the human and takes a video. It stores the videos in the cloud (I subscribed to the service, $4.49 a month. I thought well worth the $54.00 a year for peace of mind. You don't have to subscribe to the service tho, you can view the activity from the camera via the app on your phone. The camera also allows you to hear what is transpiring, the voice is very clear on the app, you can hear what is going on outside from your phone. You can turn this option on and off. It allows you to speak back thru the camera if you want, You could say..."Police are on their way"! It also has a pretty loud alarm, press the alarm button on your phone app and it goes off outside on the camera! I would recommend this security camera. As you can see on the pictures attached, the camera screws into an outside yard light socket. Very clear pictures day and night. , I've had it for about 3 weeks...so far so GOOD! ... show more

I'd give ZER0 stars if I could... total WASTE of $ & time. Back in late April/early May, we bought 3 of these to "upgrade" from the 1080p version we had. Unfortunately, these new ones never stay connected - thus are extremely UNRELIABLE. We're CONSTANTLY refreshing & troubleshooting WHY one or more of the cameras aren't working. My husband is the tech savvy one & I feel so bad having to ask him MULTIPLE TIMES a day; to try to fix the cameras. Even the notifications are difficult to access. Like you click the "View" link on notifications & it just takes you to the current live feed - & not the event that triggered the notification. So you have to scroll through to SEARCH & attempt to match up the timestamp to find the event. Which wouldn't be so bad, BUT it doesn't always allow you to access the span of time you're attempting to get too. It's ridiculous & VERY frustrating. If something were to happen & we needed to extract footage; I'm NOT confident these cameras would actually even capture anything OR I'd be able to access it through their app. There are way too many large gaps in reviewing timelines. And at least one camera ALWAYS seems to've failed. Ex. CAM 1 = Garage ... if I see someone drive up, then CAM 2 = Front Door inevitably "Failed to establish the encrypted channel" - so then we can't see who's at the door or vice versa... we can see someone at the door; but can't see IF they arrived in a company vehicle - to help identify them if they're not in a uniform, etc. Really wish I'd never suggesting we "upgrade" to these. VERY disappointed. Initially, we didn't return because we thought maybe we needed to upgrade our network but despite upping our coverage, and getting better tablets, we've determined the issues are definitely with these cameras. But it's now August, and we're definitely outside of the typical return window. :( Other minor issues are... We can't get (CAM 3 = Backyard) the light to turn/stay OFF. It constantly stays ON & does not respond when we use the app to attempt to turn it off. Bugs are attracted to the light & will activate notifications. Yet, when a person walks by within view... you may or may not receive notification. They also come with no manual to explain or guide you through features - such as what SHIMMER is for. Zooming or panning over; usually has a pretty noticeable lag when utilizing the app on our phones VS desktop. Has a decent picture WHEN it works; BUT it's still not as good of an upgrade in picture as I was expecting. We still get a lot of pixelation & even sometimes randomly parts of the screen will just be a solid green. So this has definitely been a purchase we regret. ... show more

Great replacement for Sengled Snap camera/bulb when the server quit working. I was really impressed with the quality of the camera and the 256GB ScanDisk I purchased to install to track motion. It is an easy set up with an iPhone. I would have rated it 5 stars but I was not impressed with the 5GHz WiFi. I have high speed fiber optic wifi and the 5GHz worked great next to office but once installed in the ceiling over my front door (15 feet from my Nighthawk raxe300 router, it disconnected and would not reconnect. Back in the office it immediately connected. I had to remove the camera from the SYMYNELEC app, reset the camera and hook up with 2.4GHz wifi. It works well now but don’t plan on using 5GHz wifi. The SYMYNELEC app was clumsy once I allowed access to Amazon. I ended up disconnecting Amazon and Tuya access with the reinstall; the app works well. I would recommend this device with one piece of advice, if you set up the light timer to come on at night, ensure the camera is pointing down and not pointing at an angle, the light is bright and would be a distraction to people approaching the door. ... show more

What a fantastic invention. I no longer have to worry about recharging the batteries in my security cameras every other week. These are constantly on, and I love the tracking feature that follows the person when a human is detected. I did not opt for the cloud storage, so there are no ongoing charges. It does notify me whenever a human is detected, and I linked it to voice notifications on my phone so that instead of just getting a chime, I actually get an announcement that a human was detected along with the name of the camera so I know where the detection took place. The app is intuitive and allows me to view all of the cameras in one place. The only downside as other reviewers have mentioned is that the camera does not always return back to your designated starting point. Sometimes it will follow my image as I go in the front door and then remain focused on the front door instead of turning back to the entryway sidewalk. A simple power off and power on of the socket fixture where it is attached will reset the camera and then it goes back to my designated starting point. All in all, these cameras are 10 times better than the battery powered ones I replaced. The image is better no more worries about battery levels, and the built-in lighting is a bonus. I had used the built in lights for a while, but decided not to since I have other lighting nearby that lights up the area adequately. I would definitely buy these again. ... show more

After a couple of years of use (I bought two of these), these cameras still work. However, they have had so many issues that customers looking for a reliable cam may want to search elsewhere. There are frequent connection issues that have left me feeling frustrated. Most of the time, I cannot view a live feed because it fails to connect to the network even with five bars of connection. The picture is rather grainy and is of decent quality. The cam does not rotate a full 360 degrees. Also, when it comes to linking them with Alexa App, I was able to connect just one. The other camera could not be detected within the Alexa app even after, unlinking and re-linking. I've tried through Tuya/Smart Things as well as Symynelec so if you're hoping to view this using an Alexa device, don't bother purchasing this brand as you may end up with a cam that does not link with Alexa. ... show more

This brand of camera is excellent. Initial setup in less than 2 minutes, reconnected to the network in seconds, app connected in seconds. The app for these cameras is intuitive easy to operate, turn on /off functions and you can easily see all of your cameras at the same time. Motion activated and follow function is excellent and works seamlessly. I didn't count the pixels but the picture quality looks excellent to me. This is my first security camera ever. After reading the mostly positive reviews for this cam I decided to buy it. I am very happy with the overall performance of this camera. It seems to be of good quality. The night vision works great! Set to auto seems to work best. The overall video quality is great! I did have issues trying to connect it with my WiFi router but was able to remedy this by connecting it to a wifi extender that I have in our living room which is closer to our patio anyway so this worked out for the best. The camera gets a 65 to 75% signal now. I have rarely had issues with it disconnecting. The features are useful and with the user friendly App it is simple to navigate. I especially like the follow motion feature. It does a pretty good job tracking any movement within the camera lens. You can set the motion detect sensitivity so you minimize false alerts. I put a 128gig SD card in it so I can review any recording of the motion detect feature. Once it detects motion, it will record approximately 30 seconds and if no more motion is detected, it will only save that 30 second clip. You can also set it to 24/7 recording if you choose. You can also record any length clip manually if you choose. You can view your camera live from anywhere! It also has a 2-way microphone/speaker so you can have a conversation with anyone while you are watching them on camera! It works awesome! You can save recordings to your phone or tablet! Just set up the App... I did not opt for the cloud service but may in the future. I really like that you don't have to subscribe to the cloud in order to keep and store your recordings. Spend some time getting familiar with the App settings. You'll be glad you did just in case you need to navigate it under a stressful situation... I have it installed about 8 feet above the ground and I get a really good view of my front patio area. I can't speak for the weatherproof ability as I installed it under a deck above my patio. It doesn't get hit by rain or snow. I love the pan and tilt features which work very well! It occasionally misses an event but rarely.
