The 47” bar fits the 2022 VW Tiguan nicely. Other than a dent on the bar, overall experience has been okay so far. A major problem is the noticeable whistle noises it generates even at 25 mph. I also had to add rubber cushions to the clamps to increase friction, that’s something they should have included. ... show more

Overall very well made. However the black plastic end caps open too easily. Doesn’t affect the usage of the rack, but is a bit aggravating.

    • Great value! mount the rails "backwards" for a quiet ride

I put these rails on my 2019 Buick TourX wagon. They are sturdy, easy to assemble and mount. they also have a good look to them. dropped a star because of a dent in one end that I quickly fixed myself and the plastic end caps and covers with the key do not fit the best, totally serviceable but could be better. They are a bit noisy when installed the "correct" direction, but i found that they are no more noisy than the rhino or Thule racks when turned around "backwards" rounded end forward and pointy backward, like an airplane wing. i compared them on a aprox. 1 hour drive of rural roads and highways up to about 85 mph forward, backwards and removed. That makes this rack a real value, as the Thule for the TourX wagon is about 600 dollars! ... show more

    • Not Fully Assembled as Claimed, But Still Great!

While the rack did not come fully assembled as the listing states (every single part had to be put together), it was rather easy to assemble the brackets, keys and other parts once you think about the process of each....the directions have no words just pictures. I will say the key lock is a joke! You can pop off the plastic cover that the key assembly sits in and have access to the Allen Bolt to take the rack off using the key itself or any other flat object with little effort. The rest of the system is well worth the cost and time to assemble as mine has required no adjustments of the screws (re-tightening), the sturdiness is there if you want to carry kayaks, canoes or bikes. I have a 75 lbs fishing kayak and "standard" 35 lbs kayak and the rack does just fine when tied down correctly and using a J-Hook kayak carrier. ... show more

Confirmed successful fit on factory rails 2019 Mazda CX-5. Pro 47 inch version. "Pro" bars are tapered like an airplane wing, so clamp on load stops don't sit level. Suggest using the standard bars if planning to use clamp on canoe cradles. I used T-slot load stops and transported a 16ft canoe 2000 miles on these bars at speeds exceeding 80 mph. Installed properly, they are very sturdy! Knocked off 1 star because they're noisy with no cargo on them. Without the canoe on there, they whistle pretty loudly. I suspect this is from the grooves on the bottom of the bars. I plan to experiment by filling those grooves with silicon caulk. Regardless they're clamp on's so I will be removing them when not in use. Impressed with the build quality, and pleased to find a clamp that works on flush bars. Sunroof fully operable in this vehicle as well. Winner! ... show more

This roof rack whistled so loud on my BMW x1. It was especially loud if nothing was loaded on top. I have a sunroof and with it clsoed I can hear this super clear whistle.
