The light is bright enough for the pergola without being too bright. Using the fan with a switch requires the use of the remote as the fan does not remember it's last settings when the switch is turned off. I like this fan a lot. It's a nice mix between traditional and modern. I got it because of the claim of light wattage; however, it definitely is underwhelming. I think it barely has enough light for our modest living room, but I definitely need to supplement with lamps in order for it to be bright enough. The fan modes and remote are nice. I don't care for the warm light or the dim light, but full bright on daylight setting is pretty good. Install was pretty normal as far as ceiling fans go. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This fan is nice, and quiet! I’d say it’s pretty easy to install, if you’re at least a little bit familiar with installing fixtures. It looks and functions just as pictured and described. It has various levels of brightness, and it’s very easy to adjust using the remote. We love this feature!
