I am a homeowner and over the years I have installed probably 6-8 ceiling fans in various houses. We needed a fan in our bedroom so I went ahead with this one and installed it myself. As others have noted, the installation for this fan is a challenge. If you have not installed one before, you might need help. The instructions are accurate but very minimal. Be sure to inspect the illustrations closely to get the orientations of the parts correct from the pictures. That said, this is an excellent fan and we are very happy with it. The packaging is very good. The build quality of the components is excellent. The fans blades are a light weight natural wood, very nice. The motor is the lightest fan motor I have ever installed—fan motor technology must have improved greatly since the last time I installed one. The electronics work without a problem. And this fan is QUIET! It is by far the quietest fan I have ever installed and used. It has six speeds, adjustable from the remote control. It also has three light settings for different warmths. We turn it on low, especially at night when we sleep right under it, and we don’t hear a thing. It runs during the day and does an excellent job circulating the air. The only positive comment is that the fan is attractive. The wood blades are very nice. The instructions are horrible, missing information and simply incorrect. Why? How? My husband who is quite adept at these projects struggled and struggled and is in fact still struggling to install this after an overnight break and a steak dinner to reset intentions. Not even sure it will work. I can come back an update you later. Stay away, far away. The vendor should do so much better with the instructions and the components. Ridiculous. ... show more

I installed this on an outdoor porch so was able to just screw the mounting bracket into the wooden ceiling - easiest assembly and installation I have ever had with a fan. Instructions aren't completely clear but as long as you aren't drunk it should be easy to assemble. Honestly easiest house project ever with no hiccups or troubleshooting. Fan works well, light is bright, warm light is fine bot cooler tones are gross. The airflow could be better, but it produces a decent breeze on the highest setting. It looks very nice and I am happy with it. Can't believe you can buy a ceiling fan like this for $130. ... show more

Things I like. Real wood fan blades. Not sure what kind of wood as they’re very light but hey are real. Installation is a bit different than others I’ve done and more complicated than them as well. What I don’t like: the light changes color each time you turn it on. So, you have to cycle on/off to get the preferred light frequency. Other item that needs improvement is no ability to dim the light. Great fan speed controls but none for the light. Having a light warmth switch and dimming ability would make this a 5 star. ... show more
