I ordered this fan to replace an aging one in my guest room. Overall I like it, but it’s not as modern in its technology as other new fans I’ve installed in my house. The remote control is big and clunky. The remote box that sits on top of the fan up near the ceiling is also big and clunky. It’s a pain to install compared to others, although I did manage to get it to fit with all the wiring. The fan itself works great, but at higher speeds, it’s loud compared to others with five or six blades. This one has just three. The light has three different settings (colors), but the dimmer function doesn’t do anything. I like the look of the fan and it does what it needs to do, so I’ll keep it. I really like this fan. We bought it to replace a Hunter fan that had bearings going out. Pros: whisper quiet, capable of moving a LOT of air, multiple settings, dimmable light Cons: light is limited. It does not illuminate the corners of the room. We could not wired the light and fan separately for wall switches. Solution: we leave the wall switch on and control the fan entirely with the remote. ... show more
