This is a great fan for the money. I have only had it installed for a few days, but my wife and I are very pleased with it's operation. Very quiet functionality. Assembling and hanging the fan is a pretty involved project if you are someone who is not familiar with using basic tools and reading a schematic. I'm an electrician by trade, so this was fairly simple. The instructions are well written, and if you follow them step by step you'll be fine. Very nice ceiling fan. It was not as easy to install as others due to all the pieces and space but not too bad. The fan itself it really nice. You don't have to go up several wires with wire nuts, just 3. The others all plug into a box. The features are quite nice. There's 3 modes of light settings. Warm, daylight white, and one in between. You can din it, although I wish it was able to dim a little more. There's a timer setting, 1, 3, and 6 hours if I remember correctly. The fan is where it's at. There's 6 speed modes. 1 is decent, 6 is like a hurricane. Really really nice. The light is bright and looks good. The remote can be attached to the wall and slides out of the holder to move it around. This is a great unit and well worth the money. Oh, 1 thing i forgot to mention was out the box mine was not unbalanced, there was no need for the weights. ... show more

Remote will take some getting used to. Fan has to be completely stopped to issue any fan commands. Light blinks if using speed 5 or 6. Will not reach full speed either - I can hear it cutting and restarting at these two speeds. Some sort of overload. Updating to 5 stars. Turns out the electrician botched the wiring.
