First came the compact sized, LiPo battery based jump starters that can generate high current for a short period of time which is perfect for most jump starting applications. Then came the LiPo battery based air compressor. Both are enabled by the newer better, lighter, more energy dense battery chemistry. So, why not put both functions in one? That’s exactly what we have here. This item is packaged in a more premium looking three color printed cardboard box with a white barcode product identification sticker. The box has a pull out tap that keeps the lid closed. Put out the tab and opening the lid reveals a portable carrying case inside. Pull out the case and you can unzip it to reveal of of the content that came with this item. You get the compressor jump starters itself strapped in an elastic band on the bottom half of the case. The necessary accessories are stowed on the other half of the case with a mesh cover to hold the loose items in. There is an air hose with a tire stem valve. The jump start adapter which includes to big clips to clip onto the battery you want to start. And 4 different stem adapter to pump up other devices, and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable as it is how the device is charged, either 5V-2A or 9V-1.5A. And of course the instruction and warranty provisos, which, by the way, I was pleasantly surprised to see that this item has a 24 month warranty. But usually it’s probably not worth the shipping back and forth if you have to pay for it so it is feature that certainly sounds and feels good but not sure if it would be taken up or just buy a new one would be cheaper, faster, and easier. At any rate, they manual is actually pretty well written. To the point where I suspect an error but turned out it was me mis-reading it. So, this manual is definitely worth reading. The user interface has just 5 buttons. And between long presses and short presses the same button performs multiple functions. The most important is button six, the OK button in the middle. In this case, Ok means, it’s okay to operate, so, depending on your mode, long presses trigger the action where as short presses turns off the device. Your an set desired tire pressure in 4 different units. I immediately switch it to PSI and never looked back. It’s what all vehicle tire pressure are specified in all of my vehicles so it’s a no brainer. After that, it’s just a matter setting the desired PSI and let it go about auto inflate to the set PSI. Ease of use at its best and it’s the best! As for jump starter 5000A should jolt even the most tired battery back from the brink of being recycled. Very useful device indeed. LiPo solving all the problems in the world five stars!

This Model A1 Jump Starter with Air Compressor is higher quality and includes a case. The purchase includes the jump starter battery pack with built-in compressor, the removable jump start cable with alligator clips, a detachable compressor hose with a Schraeder valve connector on the end, and a USB A to USB C cable for charging the battery. Furthermore, it includes several air hose converters to convert the Schraeder valve to either a Presta, a needle (for basketballs and soccer balls), or two other connectors to inflate standard pool floats (picture that clear soft silicone valve with attached silicone cap that you have to pinch to let the air out of). I tested the inflation of a tire on one of my wheelbarrows and it pumped it up from 8PSI to 30PSI in about 30 seconds. I was surprised at how quickly inflated it, but a car tire has a lot more volume and would take longer for the same PSI increase. I saw no drop in battery from the quick pump. I was also able to charge my phone using the USB A out port on the jump starter. With the size of this device, I would only use it in the vehicle in an emergency situation for charging since it would not be ideal to carry around for everyday use. The main battery/pump unit's dimensions are 8" long by 4.5" wide by 2" thick. With the accessories and the case, it is a little bit thicker at about 4.5" thick instead of just 2" thick, but not too bad for storing in the car under a seat, in a trunk of a sedan, or in a rear compartment of an SUV. The only negative is that the LED display can be hard to read in full sunlight, but I was able to compensate by cupping my hand over the display. I found it intuitive to use, but if you don't, the included instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Overall, this will be a nice addition to my vehicle for emergencies.

This unit is very handy to have in the trunk or under the seat. It will jumpstart the midsize truck battery with no problem. I would imagine probably several times before it needs recharged. I only had to use it once and it was effortless. The air compressor is OK it's nothing really special about what you would expect out of a unit this small. I didn't time it but it did take some time to go from 35 pounds to 40 psi on my truck tire. It didn't seem like it was struggling or anything like that just taking its time. There is a full instruction manual included as well as the air compressor hose that is a little over a foot long a USB-C charging cable and the block and cables for the jump starter. Also there are four adapters included for the air hose for various things that may need to be inflated. The unit in self is in a plastic housing with a digital read out. You can set the air compressor to different units and measurements it has a decent flashlight and SOS emergency light and the output charger for devices works well. All in all this is a decent unit I think even at the discounted price it is a little overpriced. Without the discount price I think it was 109 which is way too high for this unit. I really can't see a unit of this caliber doing well much over US$50. I think that would be about the sweet spot for this unit I knocked off one star because the digital read out is very hard to see in any kind of sunlight. Other than that it's a decent unit and very handy to have with you.
