It's faster too! Because I work on so many cars that have a parasitic drain prior to diagnosis, I keep a jump box in my tool box and in the glove box of every vehicle I own. These Soulor boxes arrive pre-discharged (34% on all three I've owned thus far), so you can get that initial long charge in motion right away. After that, they hold a charge very well. So far I've jumped two 8-cylinder and one 4-cylinder in the same cycle with 18% juice left. I probably could have jumped another car. The display is easy to read. The casing is durable. Copper clad jumper cables are included as well as a charging cable and storage bag. The unit is durable, powerful, easy to use, and highly portable. Directions are simple. A scan tag for warranty and customer service (2 years) is highly visible on both the product and packaging. The flashlight also acts as a fast or slow strobe. I use it just long enough to make battery connections and then shut it off before jumping the battery. My oldest unit is 4 months old, has seen plenty of action via the arctic blast temps we've had, and still takes the same amount of time to charge and discharge. Capacity is top-notch as is power delivery! The only complaint anyone could ever have about this unit is the silly compass. I'm not even sure why it's on the unit. I have loads of them because they're free with every bit of outdoor gear I buy. They're sticky. Besides, who takes a battery jump box with them on a hike? Then again, I guess someone might if they were using this as a battery bank charger or a flashlight. At any rate, customer service is great with Soulor, so if the compass is an issue for you, just let them know. They'll take care of you! This reliable, multi use box is a great value!

The Soulor 5000-amp portable jump starter battery booster is simply amazing. It’s small, lightweight, and at first glance you wouldn’t think it could even start something as small as an electric bicycle…but it fired up my E-450 7.3 Powerstroke shuttle bus like it was nothing. What makes that even more impressive is that the shuttle bus uses two batteries to start because the engine requires so much power to turn over. Because of its compact size, this is an excellent safety tool to keep in your vehicle. It’s also a perfect gift for anyone you care about—like a daughter away at college or elderly parents who still drives. Having something like this on hand provides peace of mind, knowing they can jump their own vehicle without needing help from a stranger. It’s also great for outdoor activities such as camping or hiking. The low-profile design makes it easy to pack, even in smaller bags, and it even has a compass if you’re lost. Personally, I keep it tucked away in the trunk so it’s always there when I need it but completely out of the way. The one thing I do wish was a little better is how long it holds a charge. Because of that, it’s smart to give it a quick recharge every so often to make sure it’s ready when you need it. Even with that minor drawback, the convenience and security it offers easily make up for it. The unit also comes with a nice carrying case and includes two USB ports, allowing you to charge phones or other devices. If you pair it with a portable solar charger, the versatility expands even further for extended trips or emergency preparedness. Needed one of these for the girlfriends van and figured I would try this one. It works but it's not the most powerful jumpstarter out there. It is very light so that tells me it doesn't hold much juice and I'm not feeling confident in it to always save the day. With my girlfriend having our 2 year old son with her and being a couple months pregnant I need 100% confidence in her car starting and this doesn't give me that. I haven't had any issues and it has started a couple dead batteries but it just feels and looks cheap. I might crack it open just to find the one or 2 18650s inside.

This portable jump starter is absolutely a must have for my vehicle. I drive a lot, and mostly alone, so if and when my car battery decides to die out on me- I’m covered. The best part is that I don’t need to put myself in the position of asking unknown people for help, especially when I’m already vulnerable. This jump starter arrived about halfway charged, instructions said to fully charge before first use. It charges very quickly and holds the charge for a long time. There’s a compass on the top and the charging cables fold right into the box for easy storage. I tested this out on my husbands spare truck (diesel) , the battery dies often due to lack of use. This little jump starter charged it right up in under 5 min. It functions exactly as it should. Theres a bright LED light on it, and you also have the option for it to flash. That security feature is awesome, especially for late at night if you break down on the side of the road. Others will be able to see your there. Great price and value for such a vital security/safety tool!
