  • Get it. Was exactly what I needed, removes moss from asphalt.
I was able to use this for the first time this month. I found that having the different pressures and nozzle attachments was very, very handy. Turns out water hurts a lot when it shoots out of the end at high psi. I was using it to get rid of moss that had grown into the asphalt near our lake property. Using the strait nozzle on the highest pressure did in fact work, but not well. It was like using a tiny laser beam to try and clean up coffee you'd spilled on the floor. Probably better used on a more smooth surface or for removing paint. Instead, the 15-degree orange addon using max pressure did the trick. You have to be careful of the angle that you have things at else it can get sprayed back at you. I was more successful with a vertical spray than horizontal (you can twist it any way you want), and at roughly 3-ish inches on average between the surface I was cleaning and the end of the nozzle. The 45-degree (biggest) on highest pressure was good to use as a kind of broom for the detritus and weak enough to (from 4-6ft away) safely rinse the surrounding foliage that got pelted with the mud and debris from the asphalt I was cleaning. Things I really appreciated: * The really long electrical cable was very handy given that in the places you might want to use it, even an outdoor extension cord might not be long enough. * Where the garden hose attaches to the washer: The nice part about the connection is that the attaching mechanism lets you screw it onto the hose instead of having to rotate/screw the entire hose into the bottom of the pressure washer. * There is an attachment where it will suck water from a reservoir (ex. bucket or lake or something) instead of needing a garden hose, though the pressure from that is just a tad less... barely noticeable. However this is super-useful in places where you can't get a garden hose. I can't stress how useful this is. * The nose attachments to the "gun" are easy-clip or something like that. Metal, secure, nothing to worry about... EXCEPT if you don't make sure the latch pops-up when you put one on. If it doesn't fully pop-up, then when you turn it on the end piece will go flying. This tends to happen when detritus/dirt gets on the attachment and you don't clean it before putting it in/on. Thankfully the end pieces that come with the thing are colored that make them easy to find in the grass or cement... * The gun has a "lock" at the bottom-end of the handle in the form of two black round dots. You have to get the trigger in just the right position for the lock to work, but using it makes it safer when you are working with the opposite end and the pressure washer is still on. * The price. I would not have paid more for this. It is exactly what it should be at what appeared to be a reasonable price. Some things I'm neutral on: * The "soap" attachment... it's small, runs out quickly when on higher pressure, sprays in a cone, and there isn't really a way to determine "coverage" or how much pressure you need to use and how that affects how much comes out. Therefore it isn't really useful other than being a generic soap dispenser for a car. I had thought I might want to use it to dispense moss-killing poison to loosen it up ahead of time... or even fertilize the lawn with liquid fertilizer... but as mentioned there is no way to control or measure coverage. Given the size and plastic-only composition of the thing, it probably was only meant as a low-cost soap-dispenser for cleaning a car like you'd have at a do-it-yourself car wash. * The pressure selections on the front of the pressure washer: there are no numerical indicators telling you how much PSI is being used. This means you can't accurately compare it against others. It also means that you're generally relying on the pictures to give you a general idea of how hard you want it to spray. The only downsides are: * There were no instructions at all - none. I was able to go on Youtube and see what to do in a couple cases. * Getting the metal barrel of the sprayer into the "gun" part is a little tricky, and you have to be careful... especially the first time. It kind of twist-locks in there. You have to press them together pretty hard, turn just a tad to lock it in. Be careful not to bend the metal barrel or accidentally apply pressure diagonally which whould break the plastic it locks into. * The places where the inbound and outbound water attach are a bit... inconvenient being located at the bottom. That placement also makes it more likely to get stepped on. * Be prepared for the incoming water to leak at the connection. Not by much, but it will lightly drip - especially if your hose-end isn't perfectly flat. * Since it can suck water out of a reservoir, that means that if you or someone else turns off the hose before turning off the pressure washer, it will collapse the hose making it harder to remove and, if enough time passes, the motor that sucks water up into the pressure washer will likely burn up rendering the whole thing useless. There was no warning about that anywhere. * The hose where it connects into the "gun" section... that whole connecting mechanism... while working well, doesn't look like it'd last very long if you were to consistently disconnect/reconnect because the gun itself seems to be malleable plastic. * Most of it is plastic: this means you do NOT leave it out in the sun or the snow or whatever. When you are done, rinse it off and bring it in/under something so that it isn't directly exposed to the elements for a long period of time. That's assuming you want to use the device for 5 or more seasons. While this last part is not about the device itself, it is just a fair warning that: a) it works well enough that you'll want to wear jeans and shoes that don't matter to you, because if you are doing a thorough job of removing something that is stuck onto a surface... they will be COVERED, as I was. b) If you are attempting to remove something that is stuck onto a surface, go SLOW. Take time to determine the right distance between the nozzle and the surface you are cleaning, and use it as if you were coloring a picture with colored pencils instead of a fat crayon. c) If a hose is attached, water still comes out of the hose/nozzle even with the device powered off... if you pull the trigger. The pressure will be the same as the hose (usually super-low around 25psi)... which is actually a good thing, letting you clean it out if necessary. ... show more

  • Very nice pressure washer
I got this cause is was a decent price and I was tired of looking at my house slowly turning green. It was easy to assemble. 5 screws and it was put together. I like that the hose rolls up as well. It helps keep it tidy when im done using it. The power cord and hose are both nice and long, giving me the ability to go further without having to unplug it and move it constantly. I thought it was broke at first though. I turned it on and it didn't make any sound. Then when I squeezed the trigger on the wand, it kicked on. The only thing I wish it had, was a built in heater. It works wonderfully though. ... show more
