This is a pure sine wave 500w inverter and works perfect for my limited needs. At the price point this piece was in my budget and does all i need it to do. The readout screen makes it easy to see if I am coming close to overloading the power output of this inverter. The included usb and usb c ports are convenience. There is a grounding cable as well. The install was easy without needing instructions. The inverter uses minimal power while idle and i am able to leave it switched on over night without issue. I only turn it on when needed now but was good in testing. The form factor is fairly small but has some heft to it. Small price to pay for great versatility in meeting power needs. Very happy. I’ll be mounting with some different cables as I need longer ones to mount where I want to. It includes a car adapter cable set which is limited to 150-170w. The direct cables clamp on to battery set, that would get you the full 500w. Had no issue powering my laptop, phone, rice cooker and a light. Highly recommended, we will see how long it lasts.

Using on a DIY power box. I like the read out although the reading for power out on the AC side is low. Shows 117v while my meter reads 120v at the outlets. This claims to out put 1000 watts on surge, it doesn't. Best I could do was 750 watts before it shut down. My guess is the output should be more like 400 watts with a 750 watt max. For this reason I am marking it down 1 star. I will keep this as I intend to use it to run my computer setup and TV's, which it does with no problems, so far.

Volfvert was very responsive on replacing inverter that had blown internal fuses within the 1 year warranty period. However, unit has fuses that are soldered directly into the circuit board and cannot be easily replaced. This may be an issue again if other internal overload protection devices do not kick in to prevent the fuses from blowing again. Volfvert indicated the following to me on customer feedback: "Our inverter should have provided enough protection, we will transfer your advise about the fuses to our engineer team to see what we can do. Thanks VOLFVERT Team"
