Made very well. Obviously will not kink and that is the best part for me. MY CURRENT HOSES I’ve only used the common rubber-like hoses (I realize they aren’t 100% rubber but that’s what I’ll call them). The hoses I have at the moment are much longer than these and I’ve had them maybe four years. They are very tough/thick rubber hoses. Higher quality that most other rubber one’s I’ve seen. One of those just last year got a little hole in it and is spitting water due to it being kinked. It was maybe a 50 ft hose. DESIGN These hoses are thin and very lightweight. They look like any other stainless steel hose I’ve seen. I haven’t had good weather long enough to see, but I imagine they will get very hot when out in the sun since they are metal. So that would be the main con. I noticed that they need to be wound in the same direction as initially. It is hard to put into words. What bugs me with rubber hoses is that when you try to wrap them up in a neat series of loops like you wrap a power-cord, they want to curl a specific direction. These hoses do the exact same thing. Since it is metal and so lightweight, it can do that slithering thing like you might see in a movie when higher pressure water is running through. It’s just funny really. I had it on the concrete when it did so. I don’t know if it would do that in the grass or not. It has a black plastic protective piece that covers the seam between the hose and end connectors. The plastic piece is very thin but still helpful. Since it is slick, it might slip off of a hose hanger. It stayed on mine pretty well. DUABILITY They feel very durable and tough. You can tell they naturally won’t kink which is the main thing that I feel destroys hoses. They are still new for me, so I can’t comment on how long they will last but upon appearance and what I’ve heard of these types of hoses, a very long time. Stainless steel is rust resistant outdoors. You’d have to care for them in the winter like any other hose, I’d say. Overall, I’m happy with it. Other than needing caution with it being hot when in the sun, I’d totally recommend these due to their durability. It is a good investment and more reliable than the rubber ones. ... show more

    • Strong with no kinks - but smaller inside diameter limits flow rate
These types of hoses are very durable and are extremely difficult to kink (anything is possible - and if you try hard enough, these will kink and then they are unusable - ask me how I know). As long as you do not exceed their design (an make them kink) these are great for long-term outdoor use. One caveat is they have a smaller inside diameter which limits the maximum flow rate compared to a standard garden hose. This is not much of an issue if you are using a nozzle or something that already restricts the flow - but if you are looking to fill your pool, using this will take longer.     • Tough and Durable Hose
Despite it being steel, this hose has excellent flexibility as well as rubberized grips at both ends that makes it easy to connect up. The set comes complete with the hose, three gaskets, and a compact roll of Teflon Tape, which was a nice surprise as I didn't see it mentioned in the description. I use a similar stainless steel hose throughout the year for our garden and various plants. While I also own plastic hoses, I've have yet to experience issues with this type breaking down. ... show more

    • Works well and seems durable
Stainless steel garden hoses are becoming more common, and I prefer them to the regular rubber type, even though they are generally slightly costlier. They are noticeably lighter in weight than heavy-duty rubber hoses, but, unlike the lightweight garden hoses, are impossible to kink. They don't leak, and, being stainless steel, shouldn't rust or otherwise corrode. This is a good example of the type, and, it comes with the rubber gaskets you need for a leak-proof connection to your hose bibb or other hoses. As expected, I got no leaks; the hose performed flawlessly. It does have plastic standoffs at each end to prevent excess force from harming the hose where it's fastened to your hose bibb, and they are somewhat secured to the actual brass fitting as the better hoses do. This makes them partially helpful for getting a good grip so you can hand-tighten the connection more easily. but they don't seem to be completely molded onto the fitting as some others are, so they don't fully hold and you still do have to be careful to securely grasp the brass fitting. It's good that they are there though, and they could be easily improved for a future version. ... show more

This stainless steel braided hose is great and very easy to use. It is super maneuverable and easy to put away. Its a great hose, but 25ft is also pretty short, so I needed several of these for my needs so it does get expensive. I don't think this hose was differentiated in any way from the majority of other stainless steel hoses available on Amazon. ... show more

I have never tested a stainless steel hose before and am pleased to say this hose works well. Unlike other hoses I own this one does not collapse as the water runs out of it after the faucet is shut off. It is, however, very lightweight and coils easily. The design of the hose includes rubber stand-off collars at both ends preventing the nozzle ends from being bent awkwardly and perhaps causing leakage over time. It comes with extra nozzle washers to ensure leak-free attachment to the faucet and sprayers. The attachment and nozzle hardware is quality constructed and when attached the hose operated perfectly without leakage. It is 25 ft in length which is standard for shorter hoses. While the price point is a little higher I think this hose will outlast my other “collapsible”-type hoses which need replacement almost every year. Highly recommended. ... show more
