Put in 2020 Lexus NX. Works well, easy set up. Connects about 98% of the time. The only time I have issues if if another phone was connected before. Then you may need to go into Bluetooth settings to adjust things, but not always. Either way, totally worth the money.

Ever been on the phone when you exit a car, or taken a call 15 minutes or less after exiting a car? The damn thing keeps hogging audio until its stupid internal battery turns off. No fix for this, plus the damn thing only works about half the time anyway. “Couldn’t connect to CarPlay” is not a message you should see 50% of the time. Oh, and believe you me, I updated the stupid firmware and tried to troubleshoot before writing this. Save 70 bucks and find another model ... show more

    • This adapter serves the purpose - it glitches sometimes but once reconnected, it works like a charm
Pros - 1) quick connection, no hassles 2) small in size, can be tucked in at the corner of the storage console 3) Reasonable price Cons - 1) Sometime, even though car is started fresh, it still shows connected to voice command. This reduced the sound volume levels. To fix the issue, i activate the voice command once and give dummy command and then this issue goes away. I use it in a Honda car - so may be a Honda specific issue. 2) This is only for carplay (Apple users). So choose wisely 3) Sometimes (1 in every 20 times) connection glitch happens and easiest way to fix it is to disconnect and connect again. Its an easy fix. ... show more

    • Stopped Working
We bought this to use in our Honda Odyssey. For the first few months, it worked great. At about the 3 month mark, it would connect with my phone, but it wouldn’t play anything. Other times it wouldn’t work at all and I would have to shut off my car in order to get the radio working again, even after I unplugged it. After owning it for 6 month, it does not work at all and I wish I did not make this purchase

    • Easy to use
We bought a newer car with the CarPlay app system. However, the phone had to be plugged into the car for it to work. It wasn’t very functional and was simply a pain to fool with. After researching solutions and reviews, I discovered this device. It’s literally plug and play. Ever since installing it, the CarPlay connects instantly with near perfect reliability. The only downside we’ve noticed, and this is also a strength, is that the phone will stay connected after exiting the vehicle for up to 50 ft. depending on conditions until the vehicle fully powers off. The only time this has been a factor is when you arrive home, leave the vehicle while still on the phone, and walk inside. Most of the time you remember to switch the output to you phone’s speaker beforehand, but occasionally this user error occurs. It’s not a big deal. Great product! ... show more

    • Does not stay connected to my car or my phone
If I try to make 3 or 4 calls in my car while driving for work the device disconnects and does not want to work with my phone. It has cut out on my in the middle of driving down the road in which I have to unplug wait 10 s cones reconnect and the. See if it actually wants to work. Not ideal as I am driving and having to mess with cables kind defeats the purpose of hands free and wireless CarPlay

    • Doesn’t connect every time
For the most part it works fine if you only connect to one phone. However, our Lexus NX300 is shared among family members so connecting to a different phone can be challenging, especially if both phones are in the car. Have to turn off Bluetooth and Wifi on the phone that had been connected, but even then the second phone does not always connect right away. Sometimes you have to forget the phone and then re-pair it to connect. I tried another popular dongle before this one and ended up returning it.
