My Fusion has been a reliable daily driver, but the original infotainment system was definitely showing its age. Instead of replacing the car, I decided to upgrade the technology, and the difference has been impressive. The 9-inch touchscreen fits nicely in the dashboard and gives the interior a much more current look. The display is bright, responsive, and easy to read whether I’m using navigation, streaming music, or checking the backup camera. Wireless CarPlay has quickly become my favorite feature. My phone connects automatically when I start the car, so I have instant access to maps, podcasts, playlists, messages, and hands-free calling without needing to plug anything in. As someone who spends a lot of time around technology, gaming, photography, and content creation, I appreciate devices that are intuitive and responsive. The Android 15 system feels smooth, apps open quickly, and the 4GB of RAM keeps multitasking running without noticeable lag. The built-in GPS and WiFi capabilities make road trips much more convenient. I like having the option to download offline maps while still being able to use real-time traffic information whenever I connect to a hotspot. The backup camera integration works well and provides a clear image when reversing. I also appreciate that the steering wheel controls continue to function, helping the upgrade feel like a factory-installed system. Sound quality improved noticeably after adjusting the EQ settings. Music sounds fuller, Bluetooth calls are clear, and streaming audio has been reliable. The split-screen feature is another useful addition because it allows me to keep navigation visible while controlling music or other apps at the same time. What stands out most is how much newer the car feels now. Instead of driving a vehicle with outdated technology, it now has many of the convenience features found in newer models. Overall, this head unit adds a lot of value to an already dependable car.
