Does a great job at drying out the air in my basement. It runs very quiet, Making me think it would not do the job, But I was wrong. The old dehumidifier that it replaced, was so loud, that I had to shut it off at bedtime! On wheels, easy to move, does not take up much space!

    • Seems to work well, but with drain issues
I purchased this dehumidifier in replacement of another brand for which the first one died in less than one year and the manufacturer provided me with a new one at no charge which also lasted about a year. What I don't understand is why this industry cannot make a dehumidifier that lasts more than a year. My last refrigerator lasted over 20 years. It is similar technology. Getting to a review, after installation it is dehumidifying our basement quite well so far but it has been running for a few weeks. The reason for the four-star rating is the drain. We like to let it drain into our sump pump but the hose that was provided is small in diameter (close to 3/8”) and very short being only three feet long. I had to go to the local Home Depot and found some clear plastic tubing that is close to the right size though I had to use a mandrel and heat up the hose to expand it to the right size to connect to the dehumidifier. So now I have a hose that is closer to 6 feet long and makes it to the sump. The issue is because it is still a small diameter which makes the water not want to drain easily to the sump. However, with some careful routing and slope logic it's working OK now. An old humidifier that I had which actually lasted more like 3 or 4 years had a garden hose drain connection which I wish they would all use. ... show more

    • Nonleaking workhorse.
Quiet. Removes humidity well. The resevoir is small but its size is clearly stated. Eventually, used the hose to drain into a container which worked well. The unit does not leak and is easy to operate.

    • Its quiet, but thats all
For starters, saying this will cover 4500sf is a huge exaggeration. We had it in a 1200sf living area and it did not budge the humidity more than 1 degree. Now lets address the claim it can do 50 pints per day, wrong. We were luckly if it managed 16-18 pints per day. And yes, we live in the south where its hot and very humidity. Whats up with the small tank reservoir? I spilled water on the floor every time I tried emptying it. The only positive thing I can say about the unit, it is quiet. You can barely hear it running. Will still return it, functionality bets quiet any day. ... show more

Works just as advertised. Compact design but has adequate water storage and automatic shut off. Would buy again. Cost was very competitive to what walmart and local stores had.

    • Pulls a lot of water and is quiet
Pros: Pulls a lot of moisture out of the air, is easy to use and is very quiet when running on the lower setting, the higher setting is still quiet enough not to bother us. It is a very nice looking dehumidifier which displays the humidity on the front and is hefty but has rollers on the bottom so it is easy to move around. Cons: It does blow out lukewarm air, has not yet reached the humidity level of 45% which I set it on for our 1,065 Sq ft apartment, even after 3 days of running, but we do live in a very humid environment. Should not to be used in the bathroom as I was told by the company even though it states in the description on Amazon that it can be used in the bathroom which was the main reason for me having bought it. The drain hose is useless to me since it is short and since I am not supposed to use the unit in my bathroom where I could hang it in the sink, it is useless. ... show more
