We have a couple of small bedrooms we're using for an exercise room and a study. We wanted to add a ceiling fan, but didn't really want to go with a full-sized 52 inch, so we picked this out to try. I've put up innumerable fans over the years, and this one was better than most. The trickiest part is getting the remote control receiver unit positioned properly so that you can attach the main unit to the bracket, but that's always the case with fans of this sort. Attaching the blades was particularly easy due to the design of the blades going into the hub of the motor housing. Once up, the fan and light work well. As advertised, you can select from three different colors of light, and can adjust the brightness of each. The fan has six speeds, and is of course, reversable. The fan itself essentially silent - the only sound is that of air movement caused by the blades. You can use the timer function to turn the fan off if desired. The remote control comes with a bracket for wall mounting. Even though the fan is only 42 inches and three blades, it will definitely move the air. After we put up the first on, we decided to go ahead with a second one for the other room. ... show more

It's only been a few days so far ... This was our third attempt to replace a 20-year old fan in a bedroom. We originally had the kind that was advertised as flush-mount but hung down well over a foot, probably two feet if you include the chains for the fan and light. That just looked bulky in a smaller bedroom even though it worked well. At first we got a fandelier with a ring of light and a fan in the middle. The light was nice but the fan did not move much air unless you were right underneath it. Then we got a fan that looks a lot like this one by Putroad but, after mounting, I was bothered by a gap between the ceiling and the motor housing and the visible silver screws. Essentially, I decided on this fan because of the extra collar it includes. Unfortunately, the installation video stopped just before you slide the collar up, so I wasn't even sure how that all worked, but happy to say it does. The end result is a much cleaner look in my opinion. The motor is quiet, the light works well, and by my third installation in as many weeks, I found it pretty straightforward to put up. The negatives I would say are fairly minor: 1) The remote seems to be 50% larger than it really needs to be. I uploaded a photo next to the remote for another fan we tried out that fit better in your hand. That one even had room for LED lights on it to show what speed and light intensity you were at. 2) The fan was definitely more expensive than similar fans without the additional collar. That simple plastic ring seems to be about all that differentiates it from other brands. 3) The first fan we tried had an app you could use on your phone. Again, for the price, that would have been a nice convenience. 4) The fan definitely moves the air around. We will likely hardly ever use it above the lowest speed. Even at that, you get some wind noise. I wish there were an even slower speed for a gentler breeze with no noise. ... show more

    • Great Looking Fan That Works Well
Great looking fan that works well. Had fan installed on my screened porch and it cools well on lower speed settings. LED light is bright and dimmable (three color temps). Installer asked me where I purchased fan because he was so impressed by it, when I told him price he was even more impressed.
