This is bigger that the normal 36" outdoor fan, so it is great for a medium size patio. Even at IP65, I would not put it where actually get wet. I think it is great for a closed roof patio. It generates lots of air movement at high speed, but also at a cost being loud using only 3 blades. It is recommended not to exceed the medium speed to keep good air flow yet able to conduct a conversation under it. It comes with an app and remote which is great, leaving the remote outdoor with the humidity is not great, having a phone app will be able to avoid the risk when the remote is lost or damaged by humidity. Installation is a breeze but the power cable is only 10 feet, that is definitely not enough, unless you have a power plug next to it... Just think about it, if your patio is 8' by 10' , you will need at least 4' to get to the wall and it is 6.5' from the ceiling to the height of the power plug, that is 10.5'. A 15' power cable will make more sense. So install the fan is a breeze, getting power to it is a different story. I end up installed a junction box on the wall to compensate and hot wired the fan into the junction box with a switch then down to the power source. The light at max, I don't think it is 2400LM more like 1800 LM, it may be rated at 2400LM, but the cover dimmed it down significantly. So, extra lighting is recommended. Overall a good quality fan, good size and features. I took a star off because the power cable issue. That costed me extra $50, for 16' of riser channel, junction box, switch and extra15' Romex cable. One can say I can just use an extension cable, but that would look ugly and not really safe. The extra cost made this not a good value, but it can be a good value for you if you don't need to spend extra money to power it.

Review of a 42-inch outdoor ceiling fan with a plug-in light. It’s waterproof and rated IP 65. It also has a smart app remote control, a six-speed DC motor, and a dimmable three CCT white, and the nicest thing about this fantasy is that it’s a plug-in hang cord. The problem for homeowners with so many fans want you to connect to a US standard junction box in the ceiling, which can create a problem because of the weight of the fan, particularly in the summertime, when it’s pulling cold air up from the ground from the air-conditioning, it’s almost like an airplane trying to pull itself out of the ceiling. Having a plug-in means you can worry about securing it; the manufacturer's picture used for sales shows it connected to a wooden frame outdoors in a sort of gazebo because it’s waterproof. That’s a perfect setting for this fan. On a hot day in a gazebo outdoors, this fan can give you some welcome relief from the heat by keeping a constant breeze, helping your body fight the heat with evaporation The power cord is 10 feet long, which should be enough to reach a floor outlet. It has a 5-inch and 8-inch down rod and supports a 15° tilt when you’re installing it, so if you’re putting on a slanted roof, it will still work. The best part about this life is that Smart control means you can control it with the remote or, if you lose your remote, with your iPhone via an app. This feature is also nice if you’re installing in an Airbnb, which so many people own today, because then you don’t have to give the renter a remote that will probably disappear. You can just give them the QR code to create their own app on their phone to control it, which is easier for you because it’s hard to keep replacing remotes. With the remote or the app, you can control the fan's six speeds. With the app's control, you can dim the lights from 10% to 100% and change the color temperature from 3000° Kelvin to 4000° Kelvin, or, if you wish, to 6000° Kelvin, very white light. The remote also provides a one-hour, four-hour, or eight-hour timer, should you need one. And in the event of a power failure, it remembers all of your last settings. Now you can use this device outdoor in a gazebo what manufacturer suggest because it’s waterproof, but there’s nothing to stop you from using endorse and by using indoors you get the benefit of actual energy saving you can put this light in a bedroom children’s room a den, a living room or family room it would be very effective and saving you money each and every day. You may already know this, but I’m gonna tell you anyway. In the summertime, when your air-conditioning system is running, it’s pumping cold air into your rooms. The paint on the area where the cold air is coming from, in my case, a ceiling vent, rapidly goes down to the floor, covering the bottom half of the room. The thermostat is generally midway between the floor and the ceiling, so the air conditioner has to keep running until the thermostat turns it off when it’s filled more than half of the room. If you had a fan distributing the air evenly throughout the room, the thermostat would turn off the air conditioning much sooner. In the winter, the opposite happens: the heat that you’re generating to keep your house warm goes to the ceiling. That’s not where most people live. It’d be good to blow the heat down from the ceiling to the floor again to equalize the temperature and make your thermostat turn off faster once it reaches the temperature you’ve set. That’s why most people say that the fan can pay for itself in a year. This is a great fan. It has what I call all the bells and whistles. The app is important because you can control it with the remote even if your phone is missing or not working. Which I think is a better way to operate in the first place, I put the remote somewhere safe and just use the app on the phone. You can also restrict who is using the app to control the fan. The money-saving aspect of fans is always very interesting to me and very worthwhile.
