We were just clearing away some land to start a garden when the tiller arrived. The ground in the video is rock hard to give you some idea how well this tiller can pound through tough, hard dirt. I charged up both batteries and went to work tilling the soil. The listing says the battery is good for an hour but I can tell you I used it for 90 minutes non-stop until it finally died. I was incredibly impressed with the performance. Up until it stopped the tiller kept digging into the dirt turning it into soft soil. The tiller only weighs about 11 lb which is kind of a mixed benefit because a heavier tiller often makes tilling the soil easier. In this case I think I'm going to put some weight on top of the tiller when I go back to finish the job tomorrow. The tiller definitely has a lot of power so I don't think some extra pounds on top of the tiller is going to bog it down, it will just make it bounce less. The tiller comes in a large box and consists of three pieces. It's very very easy to put together and it should only take you less than a few minutes. A huge benefit and I'm glad they thought of this is the battery charger that they give you charges both batteries at the same time since you need both of them to run the tiller. These batteries are top notch. They outperformed the estimated 60 minutes working time by 50%. I was looking forward to getting a break from tilling after an hour but the batteries kept running so we kept tilling for another 30 minutes. Incredible battery life. The tiller itself is very well built. Nothing rattling on it. All the parts were solidly put together. The handle and safety button worked perfectly keeping the operation safe. It's 15 inches wide and 8 inches deep so it can turn a lot of hard compacted dirt into garden soil pretty quickly. I'm going to finish my tilling tomorrow after recharging both batteries. I'm looking forward to trying the tiller with a little weight on it. The tiller does a pretty incredible job. Rocks and roots will get jammed in the tines as can happen with any tiller but nothing broke when it happened. On this tiller the rotating blades just shut down and allow you to clear the rock or root or whatever is in the way. Overall I'm very happy with the tiller and it definitely can do the job. I think it's a very good value for such a quality product.

Fifteen-inch tilling width and eight inches of depth on a cordless unit — that's legitimate for raised beds and established garden borders. Two 4.0Ah batteries included means you can run one while the other charges and not lose your momentum. Tines dig in without having to force it through moderately compacted soil. It's not a replacement for a full-size gas tiller on rough or heavily rooted ground. For maintained garden beds, flower borders, and raised box prep it's exactly right. Cordless means no fumes, no pull-start frustration, no dragging a cord across the yard. The weight is manageable for one person.

I have a couple of really small gardens (one is 1' x 2' and the other 4' x 3', so have never felt it worth the investment in a large gasoline powered tiller. This small electric tiller is just perfect for the job. Super easy to set up by sliding the two provided batteries in place. Only took 30 minutes to charge them up fully right out of the box. There is some very minor assembly required - just connecting the handles with the provided green hand screws and snapping the cord retainers in place. I took this out to my little garden and it made short and easy work of cleaning out the current grass and weeds and tilling up the top 3" of soil. I like how the start up is gradual when the safety bar is engaged so the unit doesn't try to take off before I have a good hold on it. Granted my soil isn't super hard, but since this tiller is so lightweight, I thought I might have to fight it a little more - but that wasn't the case - very easy to move forward and backward to turn the soil. I thought cleanup might be an issue since it said no water and especially no high pressure - but with the light weight and open tines, it was easy to just wipe things down with a rag as recommended. Storage takes up minimal space as the top handle can be folded forward over the unit. All in all a great value and something I look forward to using regularly on my smalll home garden.

I’ve been using this battery-powered rototiller in a yard with fairly tough conditions—mostly clay-heavy soil with quite a few rocks—so I had a good opportunity to see how it performs under less-than-ideal circumstances. Right away, I’ll say this isn’t a machine that immediately chews through hard, compacted ground. It took about 15 minutes of working the same area before it really started to break through. However, once the tines were able to grab hold and dig in, the tiller began doing a solid job loosening and turning the soil. After that initial effort, performance improved noticeably. One feature I really liked is the adjustable wheel system. It’s very simple to use—just press the spring lever and slide the wheels forward or backward. For actual tilling, setting the wheels toward the back works best, since it allows the weight of the machine to help it dig into the soil more effectively. Battery performance was impressive. After about 20 minutes of use, both batteries were still at three out of four bars. Charging is also quick and convenient—the included dual charger can handle one or both batteries at the same time, and it takes roughly 45 minutes for a full charge. The indicator light system is straightforward: red while charging, green when fully charged. Assembly was quick and hassle-free. No extra tools were needed—just secure the handle using the four included plastic knobs and it’s ready to go. Starting the tiller is simple as well. You just hold down the start button on the handle while pulling back on the handlebar, and it powers right up. Overall, this is a viable option for light to moderate tilling. It may require some patience on very hard or rocky ground, but once it gets going, it performs well and is easy to use.

This Tiller arrived mostly assembled and was quite intuitive to set up - only 4 threaded bolts are required to attach the handles and the tiller is ready to go. The batteries (fully charged out of the box) fit securely in their slots on top of the tiller inside a thick protective cover. The guide wheels behind the tiller easily adjust via a captive, springed locking pin- simply pull the pin out, move the wheels to a different setting and then release the pin so that it locks in place. Operation of the tiller is as simple as depressing the side safety button and then grasping the handle - a familiar feeling for anyone who uses an electric mower. I tried this tiller out in an area of my yard that has looser soil and that I hope to replant with seed; the tiller easily powered into the loose soil and did a great job of digging down to almost blade height. I think this is an amazing tool for prepping already-established beds and areas of looser soil. It's probably not strong or heavy enough for highly compacted or rocky soils but for the homeowner and gardener this lightweight tiller is a great asset at a fraction of the cost of similar-sized, gas-powered tillers.

This is a light duty tiller for gardening. It is battery powered with 2 DEKO 20V 4AH batteries. I uses both batteries to provide 40V. Fortunately it comes with a dual battery charger. I have a lot of DEKOPRO tools with these DEKO batteries. They are durable and reliable. Most DEKO batteries come with a wall wart charger that plugs into the top of the battery with a small round connector. I did not even know that there was a DEKO dual charger, so this is the first bonus. It is also small and compact. The handle has a double fold so it can easily be collapsed to fit in a closet or the corner of your trunk. It's not going to work to cultivate a yard that has lots of stones. But if you have an area that has been tilled before, or you're pulling up lawn to create a flowerbed, this is a great option.

Got this set up in under 5 minutes. Four plastic knobs on the handle, batteries snap into the protected housing on top, dual charger fires both batteries at once. The "tool-free 5 minute assembly" claim on the listing is genuine. The thing that needs to be heavier is the tiller itself. At 11 pounds it's a benefit on the carry-it-around side but a liability when you hit hard or rocky ground. The tines want to bounce instead of dig. Two workarounds: slide the rear guide wheels all the way back so the tines take more of your forward push, or put a sandbag or brick on top of the motor housing during the first pass. Both fix the bounce. For loose soil, raised beds, and annual maintenance of an existing garden it's fine as-is. For breaking new ground or compacted clay, plan to add weight, and even then it might not get it done. For the easy of use and double batteries this is a great deal. Wife gets first dibs on the prepped beds. Whether the plants survive the summer this time is between her and the watering can.
