I was very skeptical about this product thinking it wouldn't work but it does. It holds the power from the lighter compartment as long as the vehicle is running. It offers enough power to the appliance that you plug up. If you camp this would be a great item to have in your car if you need to charge things quick or if you have to use one of those plug up cookers.

I'm not sure what this will or will not charge or if it really works the moment I turned it on the noise was deafening. Just check out the youtube review where the guy plugs it in to charge his laptop and the stunned look when he tries to talk over the roar of the the fan. I couldn't hear the radio. I don't like to criticize products but this needs to be reengineered, not practical.
