Our old dehumidifier in our basement finally died after 10 years or so, so I did some research on Amazon and found this one. The price is great, and this unit is doing an excellent job keeping our basement dry. It is of a high quality, and is quiet. We have it set up so it drains directly into the laundry sink, and because of its relatively small size, we are able to have it sit on boards so it is directly above the sink.     • Nice dehumidifier
I bought this dehumidifier during the "Lightning Deal" sale, it was about $169. and change. I've been needing a dehumidifier since the one I bought before wasn't helping. This one is great so far. My home doesn't have much of the moldy smell anymore and isn't humid. The dehumidifier has a small tank I expected it to fill quickly but I didn't need to empty it until today. It was filled to the top and spilled when I took the tank out. I'll be more careful next time. The light was red and it did beep when full but if I wasn't in the same room, I wouldn't have heard it, or seen the light. The dehumidifier isn't too loud. It doesn't distract me from sleeping at all. It's on wheels and that's nice if you keep it on the floor. Mine is on a counter. The buttons are on the top of the dehumidifier and are easy to read. So far I'm happy with this item and recommend it! But, I am not happy with the warranty that I bought. I never received the email with the details but Amazon said if anything goes wrong to call them. I would not recommend purchasing the warranty. *Edit* Now that I've had the dehumidifier for a while I thought I'd update the review. The machine is still working. Since the tank doesn't hold much water I have attached a hose and I let it drain in the tub/shower. It's not convenient having to empty the tank every night. We've had a lot of rain and the dehumidifier is working hard to keep up with the humidity. It does give off some heat but nothing worth complaining about. I'm still happy with my purchase but a bigger tank would have been great. One other thing I'll point out is the add claims it works up to a 4000sq space, it doesn't. I have it n the Master bathroom. It's good for the bath/bedroom but not for anything beyond that. ... show more

I have researched many places including big box stores and just could not find a unit that seemed to be a reliable unit. I finally came upon the WPSOERT 4,000 which seemed to be one of the better units. Upon receipt I was very pleased. It was well packed and everything was very professional. The paperwork was presented in a professional matter. The unit was easy to set up and start operating. I installed a hose fitting for a one-half inch hose on the drain line and hooked up to my drain hose. The three year warranty that you get for online registration is at the top out the class. Dehumidifier is compact and easy to use. Does a great job removing humidity from the air. I wish I had gotten it sooner as we had a problem with mold/mildew this summer because of all the heat,humidity & rain. I definitely recommend this Dehumidifier as it improves air quality quickly. I finally bit the bullet and got a dehumidifier for my basement as I’ve been having issues with moisture. Decided to get one that was rated for way more than the space I was needing it for as I figured it was a good long term investment. My entire house is less than 1500 square feet and this unit is rated for 4000. Seemed perfect. After running the unit on high for 3 days it didn’t drop the humidity in my basement below 65%.
