Description

The SKIL Self-Leveling Laser Level projects a bright green 360-degree continuous horizontal line around an entire room, covering up to 100 ft. in diameter. This laser automatically levels and features intuitive indicators so you know when your lines aren't level. The integrated, rechargeable Lithium- Ion battery has a micro-USB port for charge-and-go convenience, plus green, yellow, and red LED indicators to let you know the current level of charge. The included adjustable tripod makes it a snap to position the laser lines exactly where you want them. And, for projects where you might not want your lines to be level or plumb, like specialty paint treatments or diagonal tile work, the SKIL Self-Leveling Laser Level locking feature allows you to position the projected lines at any angle you choose.

Loved this laser level, used it a ton for all kinds of odds and ends and held a good long charge and the green laser was very visible even during the day outside (in shade or darker areas of some sort). Unfortunately stolen from me so I upgraded to a klein laser with 3 360° axis.

The ease of use is great the leveling works very well. I like the automatic leveling feature or the manual mode. The reason I did not rate this five stars is because the laser is so weak that you have to use it in the dark to see it. Like not even at dusk can you see the laser you have to wait until a half an hour after sunset... Otherwise I like this product. Quite frankly I was disappointed because I was using this for building a deck and I had to wait until night time if I wanted to see the laser lines. ... show more

Worked beautifully for my purposes. No issues noted, and the included tripod was a great help, even though I wish it was taller. Had to sit it on top of a desk and boxes to get the height needed.

I don’t write reviews often. In fact, only if the product goes above and beyond my expectations. This unit, in my opinion, is worth its weight in gold. I rave about it all the time and tell people that it’s the best thing since sliced bread. To be fair, this is the only laser level I have ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to. Also, I am sure the units that are 5x+ the cost of this thing do outperform it in some aspects. But this thing meets every one of my needs. It looks like the cost of it is almost double what I paid for it at the end of 2019, so other people must be feeling the same way (driving up demand). In conclusion, if you will be hanging any more than one picture, buy this thing. I have a tripod I use with it and the setup is perfect. Being this has several settings and features it is best to break them down. 360 degree laser level: works flawlessly if you are positioning it at a set height, on a solid object (tripod to a point listed below), and used in the unlocked laser setting. Move slowly to reduce the bouncing line even 20 feet away. Accuracy is within .5 degree so distances up to 10 feet away should not be visible unless you are looking for them. Center line: accurate as a perpendicular line, but does seem to range from +/- 1 degree off level and is very visible over any distance. Locked position laser: though seemingly nice to lock the position of the laser to any set point it is a bit of a pain as the lock will actually move the laser forcing you to readjust your level. It does have value in some applications, but not very useful to me at this point. Combination 360 with center line: is as accurate of them independent, and is probably the best feature of this as you can use it to pinpoint nail points, studs, and so many other things. Worked great for hanging pictures and lights as it gave a clean center line. Tripod: definitely a throw away. Cheep plastic with no weight allows it to get moved around by even a slight draft. Overall height is less then optimal, and it was less then useful. With laser mounted it would cause bouncing with almost any movement or even a slight breeze when at its maximum height. Would recommend just getting a camera tripod and use that. Battery: full charge time from dead took about 3 hours. Indicator light is bright and easy to read, though you may find it a bit to bright if charging at night. Took about 5 hours to kill the charge on this for the first time, with use on various settings. Second charge took about 3 hours of 360 combo being left on and forgotten to kill the battery. Overall: it works, but don’t just take the lines it projects as perfectly level. Check them prior to mounting things with a real level, then do what you need to prior to moving the level. Would be a fair addition to a home tool kit, but would not recommend for any professional use. Is a fair tool for its price, but not as good as some other levels that are two or three times the price. ... show more

I used this laser level for so many things, I have a large laser level and bigger tripod and story pole. It is just a lot of stuff to set up. The Skill laser level gave me a quick charge usb port and small and easy to use. just get within about 3 degrees of level and turn it on unlock the laser level so it self levels. You have a 4 side horizontal line and a front facing vertical line, with a touch of the button you can toggle thru the both on, one or the other on. so easy to use. I know you can't see behind the drywall, but if you could you would see all of the electrical all 2000 ft that I pulled laid out nice and strait, I used the horizontal lines to lay out my drill holes thru the studs, and it you take a close look you will see that all of my wall plugs are perfectly level and in line. I did not have to bring out the tape measure, I did not have to go around a mark every stud for the exact height, it was just a huge time saver and made this installation so easy and quick just set a line and go around and drill electrical holes are set electrical boxes, it does not mater it was just quick, easy to use and inexpensive, I did purchase the green laser as I believe in the daylight is is easier to see. I had a lot of outside daylight washing in on the walls, I have a 14ft. tall and 18ft. wide garage door opening, so it let in a lot of light. I was still able to use the laser in about 15 to 20 feet, now that is with a lot of sunlight washing in on the walls. When the sun moved over to the west and it was shaded in the garage I could see the lines almost everywhere without issue. This is not a high end unit, but I certainly would by this again. Great value, easy to use, if you drop it and you break it you are not out 5 or 6 hundred dollars like my outdoor grading level. This is just a handy useful carpenters indoor level.
