Description

The SKIL Self-Leveling Laser Level projects a bright green 360-degree continuous horizontal line around an entire room, covering up to 100 ft. in diameter. This laser automatically levels and features intuitive indicators so you know when your lines aren't level. The integrated, rechargeable Lithium- Ion battery has a micro-USB port for charge-and-go convenience, plus green, yellow, and red LED indicators to let you know the current level of charge. The included adjustable tripod makes it a snap to position the laser lines exactly where you want them. And, for projects where you might not want your lines to be level or plumb, like specialty paint treatments or diagonal tile work, the SKIL Self-Leveling Laser Level locking feature allows you to position the projected lines at any angle you choose.

    • Excellent laser tool
I use this laser level to install base cabinets for kitchen. The laser line was super easy to see and adjust. I verified the laser using a spirit bubble level and they both were spot on. There are multipe Utube vdeos on how to use a laser level which I recommend. I also found it very helpful to use a system called EZleveler which are adjustable feet for leveling cabinets rather than using wooden shims. You can view EZlevers on Utube also. I used this laser level for so many things, I have a large laser level and bigger tripod and story pole. It is just a lot of stuff to set up. The Skill laser level gave me a quick charge usb port and small and easy to use. just get within about 3 degrees of level and turn it on unlock the laser level so it self levels. You have a 4 side horizontal line and a front facing vertical line, with a touch of the button you can toggle thru the both on, one or the other on. so easy to use. I know you can't see behind the drywall, but if you could you would see all of the electrical all 2000 ft that I pulled laid out nice and strait, I used the horizontal lines to lay out my drill holes thru the studs, and it you take a close look you will see that all of my wall plugs are perfectly level and in line. I did not have to bring out the tape measure, I did not have to go around a mark every stud for the exact height, it was just a huge time saver and made this installation so easy and quick just set a line and go around and drill electrical holes are set electrical boxes, it does not mater it was just quick, easy to use and inexpensive, I did purchase the green laser as I believe in the daylight is is easier to see. I had a lot of outside daylight washing in on the walls, I have a 14ft. tall and 18ft. wide garage door opening, so it let in a lot of light. I was still able to use the laser in about 15 to 20 feet, now that is with a lot of sunlight washing in on the walls. When the sun moved over to the west and it was shaded in the garage I could see the lines almost everywhere without issue. This is not a high end unit, but I certainly would by this again. Great value, easy to use, if you drop it and you break it you are not out 5 or 6 hundred dollars like my outdoor grading level. This is just a handy useful carpenters indoor level. so worth the money. i've had plenty of laser levels in my time as a builder. i have to say, this level works well for everyday needs as well as for pro builders. covers all your basic needs and then some. i love the fact that it's rechargeable (hate batteries), comes with a tripod, and has a green laser. green is easier to see as well as longer distance. it's also self leveling, ya, that's a good thing. k, nuff said. ... show more

    • Perfect build quality for home use
I'm not a contractor, but I still obsessed over choosing the right laser level for home use. This ultimately won out as it charges via micro USB and the green is easier to see than traditional red for a color blind person like me. As for build quality, the 360° laser is actually encased in metal housing, I had assumed it was plastic like the rest of the body. There are nice portions of rubberized plastic for grip as well. It was a nice surprise. My only complaint seconds what others have mentioned: The locking mechanism throws off the accuracy of the laser so it's kind of useless in locked mode, other than projecting nice lines. A gentle press-to-lock or twist-to-lock mechanism would better preserve accuracy. The tripod it comes with is better than nothing, though if you have a nice photography tripod you should definitely use that instead. Overall, very pleased with this purchase! ... show more

It makes big projects easier to do. I used this to level new floor joist in 3 rooms, at the same time in a rental i remodeled. I was using a 30° laser before that and it was time consuming. With this I was able to set it up, take out a bit of dry wall, and laser the floor in 3 rooms at once. Amazing product for the price. I recommend it to anyone. ... show more
