Great scooter, but there are some flaws which prevent it from being an everyday tool. The pros are abundant, though, and these pros outweigh the cons by a lot. First, weight and assembly. It weighs a lot. It comes in a very large box mostly preassembled. The unboxing process is taxing and an older person who needs the device would not be able to handle it. Not a big issue, really, as anyone needing help walking will also assume they need help with unpackaging large boxes. Unfortunately, this is a difficult unboxing even for someone who's fit. Keep that in mind. You will need a ton of space to take the box apart and assemble a few remaining components before you even move the box out of the way. The weight also makes this a difficult object to manually move. It's heavy and awkward. The versatility of this scooter is pretty limited. It's big, so it won't fit in the corner of a room easily. It'll have to sit in a garage most likely. If you live in a studio apartment, this scooter may not be a good fit. On top of that, it doesn't do well with stairs. It also doesn't take sharp turns. Its turning radius is huge, making it unsuitable for navigating small hallways or doorways. It's best compared to one of the scooters at a grocery store. One of the advertised features was drastically exaggerated. That was the foldable parts. It doesn't really fold up at all. The chair comes off, but it's not easy. The baskets can be somewhat easily removed, but they don't store anywhere. The front steering handle folds down but gets blocked by the chair or its poll mount. Even if you remove the chair and fold the front steering piece, it's incredibly bulky and even harder to lift than when it wasn't folded. It has speed. It moves quickly and works great for going down your neighborhood's street. It isn't like a car or bike, but it's not slow either. It handles somewhat steep inclines, too. It isn't great at absorbing bumpy terrain, though. In fact, we tried running it over some gravel and it wasn't able to keep going forward due to not enough fraction. The wheels simply aren't thick enough for that. It doesn't go up or down stairs at all and will have to be lifted both up and down any ledges higher than a inch. Backing up produces the loudest ambulance noise I ever heard from a scooter, and it hurts my ears. If you're already hard of hearing, this may not affect you, but it'll definitely disturb everyone around you. This is a feature I wish I knew how to disable or at least reduce the volume of, but unfortunately, I was unable to do either. It does more harm than good. I understand its purpose, but I rather not damage my hearing and use my eyes to see people coming toward me. Battery life is astounding. It can be used for several hours before needing a charge, and a full charge takes about a hour. It can be easily charged via a grocery store's scooter station, too, if you bring your power cable with you. That's another potential improvement: a dedicated power cable storage location. It detaches, but it has nowhere to go other than the baskets. This scooter is not waterproof and isn't really designed for rain. That's unfortunate, because it wouldn't take much to make it rain proof. Just give it a plastic cover and seal in the electronics better from the top. For the price range it's in, it's great. I'd go as far as to say it's perfect for certain situations. Unfortunately, it has some flaws which make us avoid its use as much as possible. We'll be storing it in our garage for now, and once Summer kicks in, we may use it for a casual bike+scooter trip around town, but for now, all we've done with it is go down the block and use it in a grocery store.

The media could not be loaded. I picked this up for a family member that struggles with their mobility and needed something like this to regain her freedom. First impressions, well packaged, solid construction, extremely easy to assemble (pretty much comes assembled). It comes with instructions, but I didn't need them due to the simplicity of everything. All in all, once unpackaged, it took me all of maybe 15 minutes to put the chair, arm rests, mirrors, and both baskets on the scooter, truly was much easier than I anticipated. This is built like a mini tank and while it is certainly possible to load this into a vehicle, it will take either a fairly strong person, or two individuals to get it loaded and unloaded. I highly recommend getting a scooter trailer for your vehicle to streamline that process, much easier than loading and unloading this. Fantastic turning radius, decent speed (think swift walking speed), can be operated with just one hand, and it conquers hills or even offroad environments (within reason) very well! The seat is very comfortable and can rotate to allow the user on or off very easily and the handlebars can fold down for easy transportation. It also thankfully has a metal handle bar on the front and back which makes lifting the scooter possible. Truly a very functional scooter that's about as easy to assemble and operate as it gets. In terms of the cost, this was about $650 at the time of review and it's a pretty good value for the money. This can be used indoors or outdoors, would be great for a vacation home, or for going out to the store (get the trailer though). The battery life seems to provide us with plenty of power and lasts us all day before needing to be put on a charger again. This is an excellent all around mobility scooter that will provide us the freedom we need, very happy with it, truly a comfortable ride all around!

What I ordered and supposedly received is no longer the scooter offered in the listing. They either discontinued this one or combined it with other listings. Unfortunately for the buyer, the reviews on the original listing are gone now but they were generally good. This is, in my opinion, a good scooter. It assembles easily although you have to do quite of bit of interpretation of the translated instructions. It's heavy, so unboxing it and may even assembly is a two-person job. Depending on what description you read, it's speed is listed as either 4 or 5 mph. Just to be sure: it's 4 mph. It does fold a little. But the seat has to be removed to make it significantly smaller to get in a tight storage space. It's really quite good on flat, paved terrain. It struggles a little with even minor hills and cannot negotiate a hill and gravel at the same time. 12 mile range is ambitious unless on flat terrain the whole time. The back up alarm is really loud. I think with a little judicious use of wire cutters it could be silenced. Did I mention it's heavy: 100 lbs. The seat is comfy but I'd hate to be in it for 12 miles at 4 mph. Would I get it again? Maybe, especially now that its price is more in line with other scooters in its class. At the time of ordering it was $200 more than it can be purchased for now. For its quality, it's still at a high price point but not outrageously so.
