This is an underwater filter and very quiet. it has an extremely strong stream. the suction cup feet are firmly fixed to the unit so do not pull off. The unit definitely needs to be cleaned at least every 2 weeks (at least in my tank). Very happy with this purchase

At first I was using this for a smaller tank and BOY was it blowing the Gaurami around the 25 gallon. I then bought their SMALLER version, and used this one for my 45gallon. It's EXCELLENT with the larger size. If you've got anibandits, you can even run it WITHOUT the supplied air tube for quiter use. If you're gonna use the bubbler feature, be away it is cacophanously loud cuh, like STOOPID loud. I have the tank in the basement and I can hear it UPSTAIRS. Otherise, great filter. The noise isn't enough to mark it down, especially at this price point and how easy it is to clean

This has been the best filter we have ever had for an aquarium. Keeps the tank super clean, moves water really well and that can be adjusted. Easy to clean. The one thing I would change is I wish it came with a little bit big suction cups.

The media could not be loaded. 10/10 recommend this filter!!! My tank gets so dirty from my koi fish and all I have to do is take out half the water in the tank and replace it with fresh clean water and the pump cleans the rest. I do that every few months. The pump filter keeps the maintenance of the tank looking great. I just have to take it out and rinse it clean. Easy to clean and put together! Noise level is low and the size is perfect. Not to big and the power of the suction and circulation is amazing. The tank was filthy and green yesterday. I did the cleaning process of emptying half the water and the pump has done this rest.

It works really well and left my tank clear, but after a few months it got hot and basically stopped working. It’s a good temporary fix when you can’t afford some of the more expensive filters, but it won’t last as long.

WAYYY TOO STRONG!! No setting to change the flow. I bought the one that literally had a betta on it for my 20 gallon. In no way is the filter even suitable for a betta in any sized tank. Plugged it in and *immediately* had to turn it off. You’d think I turned on a boat motor in my tank. Literally kicked up all the muck from the bottom of the tank and even uprooted one of the plants in just the 15 seconds it was on. Would stress out any fish.
