  • Food Grade grease for the Kitchenaid
I have to tell you this does it's job. No scent. Not difficult to use but messy. WEAR GLOVES, have several pairs on hand that you can toss out, I used nitrile gloves. However cleaning out the old grease was a fantastic mess. Be prepared before opening your machine up. Newspaper down, screw driver, paper towels, gloves and then dig in and have fun making a mess. Do this when you don't have little helpers about. My machine is now running like a dream. ... show more

  • Works well!
I went through Hurricane Katrina and I threw everything away except my pink kitchen aid mixer. Being it sat for a long period of time during the clean up, when I used it ...it leaked grease. We did research and found it leaks because of sitting to long, so I ordered this grease and watched a video and we were able to bring it back to life. lol. I was happy to find this product. This is the second time replacing the grease. It shipped fast and was packaged well. ... show more

  • Nice kit, everything you need
If you're inclined to change out the grease in your Kitchen-Aid stand mixer, this is a good kit to buy. Mine started leaking brown 'oil' around the seals and down into the bowl -- come to find out that's what happens when it goes unused too long and it's warm. The original grease starts to separate and if the seals are bad, it leaks. This kit came with plenty of grease for the mechanism and the gasket I needed to reseal. ... show more

  • Does the job
Works great. I read somewhere that they now make light colored food grade grease So when it begins to leak out of the machine it’s not as noticeable .. interesting! I used just about this entire container to re grease my kitchenaid 5quart mixer

  • Brought New Life to My KitchenAid!
Regreasing my KitchenAid mixer was both a shockingly messy and shockingly satisfying experience. Make sure you have plenty of paper towels and a well-protected work surface. It took me a few hours start to finish, and I followed along with the Mr Mixer videos on YouTube. This grease was fine, and I appreciated the little spatula, but I ended up having to order a second tub - I just don’t think 4 oz. is enough to do a really thorough job. The grease was sealed so there wasn’t any leakage during shipping, and the included gasket was a perfect fit. I took away one star only because of the size of the product. The only photos I have are of the dirty insides before I replaced it - my hands were too messy to take progress photos during the process, lol! ... show more

  • Saved my mixer!
My Kitchen Aid stand mixer is several years old, and last Christmas took a brutal beating from teenagers making double and I think perhaps triple recipes of cookie dough for Christmas Cookies. I started to use my mixer and it was vibrating so much, I feared it would walk off the counter. Of course nothing puts a handyman into quick action like someone mentioning a product and problem and saying it must just be time for a new one. Hubby assessed the issue and we decided we weren’t going to loose one thing if we tried replacing grease and gaskets. This did the trick. My mixer is as good as new again, no adjustments needed. It probably overheated last year and messed up the grease. Great value for my money as opposed to buying a new mixer. Grease removed from mixer is in the photo above. ... show more
