  • Keto-Friendly Ice Cream Made Easy
This KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment has been very helpful for my keto diet! It’s simple to use: freeze the bowl, attach it to my KitchenAid mixer, pour in keto friendly milk option and stevia for sweetness, and in about 25 minutes, I’ve got creamy, low-carb ice cream - add fruits, nuts or chocolate as needed. The 2-quart size is perfect for small batches to satisfy my sweet tooth without breaking ketosis. It’s fun to experiment with keto recipes, like coconut cream-based flavors. Cleanup’s easy, though the bowl needs hand-washing and takes up freezer space. The pre-freezing takes planning, but it’s worth it for delicious, guilt-free treats at home! ... show more

  • Game Changer for Homemade Ice Cream Lovers!
This 2-quart ice cream maker attachment has completely transformed how we do dessert in our house! I love that it attaches right to my KitchenAid stand mixer — no extra appliance clutter, and it’s incredibly easy to use. The bowl needs to be frozen ahead of time (I just keep it in the freezer so it’s always ready), and from there, it only takes about 20–30 minutes to churn out smooth, creamy ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet. It makes a generous 2 quarts, which is perfect for family nights or small gatherings. The texture is fantastic, and I have full control over the ingredients — no mystery additives, just fresh and fun flavors. Cleanup is easy too, which is a huge bonus. If you already own a KitchenAid mixer and love ice cream, this attachment is absolutely worth the investment. Just be prepared — once you try it, store-bought ice cream won’t taste the same! ... show more

  • Makes the coldest ice cream
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This ice cream bowl is a great addition for my Kitchen Aid mixer. Super easy to use - you put the bowl in the freezer for 24 hours, attach to mixer, add the attachments to the mixer (comes in box), add the ingredients that your recipe calls for and turn the mixer on. That is all that’s to it and in 20 minutes you are ready to have some cold tasty ice cream. Perfect for a spur of the moment or planned treat. The bowl and attachments are very good quality for a great price. ... show more

  • Product doesn't stand the test of time.
When I first received this product, I loved it. I could make the flavor of ice cream I wanted. It was easy to use. Then after the 3rd time I made ice cream, the liquid that is in the bowl leaked out. I have had the bowl for 2 months, and it is already worthless. (the instructions say you can put it in the dishwasher, but I was afraid it would ruin it, so I only washed it by hand). ... show more

  • Thrilled and a Little Obsessed!
I'm over the moon happy with this purchase! I love it for a few reasons. 1) I didn't have to buy a new appliance to have delicious homemade ice cream. I could just buy this attachment at a reasonable price. 2) It works terrifically. I have made lots of berry ice cream this summer and everyone is blown away by how delicious it is. 3) it makes the best dessert for dinner parties, guests love homemade ice cream. I ended up gifting it to my daughter and son-in-love for an anniversary present. Along with "The Perfect Scoop," an excellent recipe book. So for anyone who already has a Kitchen Aid mixer, it makes a wonderful gift too. ... show more

  • So far, so good
I've used it once and the results were good. It was a little confusing to get started because, for the part you slide onto the shaft of your Kitchen Aid stand mixer, the instruction booklet says "so that side A is closest to the beater shaft". There is not any "A" marking on the drive assembly part - I looked everywhere. Finally I tumbled to the fact that there is a slightly raised triangle pointing outward, and that this must be pointing toward the shaft. It worked. There were quite a few negative reviews. For those, part of the problem might be insufficient freezing of the bowl. I had no problems, but I have a stand alone freezer in the garage that freezes things hard as a rock - it is much colder than the freezer drawer of my fridge. I suspect that putting the bowl in that freezer for a couple of days really helped with the success of my ice cream. Do pay attention to the note buried in the instruction booklet's last page "Tips section: Initial batter volume should not exceed 46 oz (1.4 L) to produce 2 quarts (1.9 L) of ice cream". When I get a new appliance I do thoroughly read the instruction manual, so I did see that cautionary note and adjusted the ice cream mix accordingly ("initial" means including pureed fruits (i.e. liquids), but not including hard additives, such as mini chocolate chips and nuts or a small amount of solid chopped fruits). Overall, I am pleased with this product. I hope I don't have the problem that other reviewers mentioned - that the plastic drive assembly part doesn't break. ... show more

  • Made to deer ice cream.
Make ice cream your way. Use the flavor you want with heavy cream or milk - have it your way. I like custard. The KitchenAid dropstyle mixer will churn your ice cream so you won’t sweat. The internet has lots of recipes to savor. I like chocolate with minimum sugar and maximum fat. That is hard to find in the store. After a night in the freezer, this will easily make another quart of the best ice cream you ever had. ... show more

  • Game changer for making fresh ice cream
I love making my own ice cream and this has been a game changer. This past season we had amazing peaches and I made pints and pints of ice cream. It's generally simple to operate once you understand how the mechanisms interface. It would be better if they did a video of how it attaches to the mixer instead of just showing once it's already been installed . The only two things that are frustrating for me are the manner in which it attaches to the mixer is a bit frustrating as it often comes undone. It also can be a little tricky to engage that piece with the teeth on the paddle, and if it disengages while it's in process, it's a pain and very messy too reattach. It's also difficult to clean the ice cream off the paddle when it's done, But since I've never used another ice cream maker, this may be the case for all of them and unavoidable. But overall, I love it, and I'm very happy that I bought it. ... show more
