I picked up the Manastin 3.5 Cu. Ft. Mini Fridge with Freezer specifically to store seeds for an orchard project, and it has been an absolute workhorse from day one. The temperature stays steady, the dual-door design is surprisingly convenient, and the freezer compartment actually freezes (which is more than I can say for some larger units I’ve owned). For seed storage, this unit really shines. It holds a consistent cool environment that helps preserve seed viability, keeps moisture levels under control, and gives me peace of mind knowing everything is protected year-round. Item was very well packed and arrived in great shape. It was delivered upside down, so I needed to keep it upright for 24 hours before I plugged it in. No big issue. I'm keeping it set at 5 and there is no issue with the freezer making ice at that level. Runs very quiet and is keeping things cool in the bottom and frozen in the top section. The unit tends to keep things cooler in the back of the unit. I have no idea how long this unit will last, but for now, I'm very happy with it.

Never had a mini fridge before and I gotta say this fridge is awesome. I was surprised how much I can fit for a little fridge and I like the soda storage. The only issue I have is how it arrived. The box was badly damaged and ripped open on the side with punctured holes. After opening the box I have found a dent on the freezer door side of the fridge. The box looked like it’s been tossed around a lot, but the fridge is working great.

Had this for about 6 months and I don’t think it stayed cold inside past the 3rd month. Bought this for garage so hubby could keep his fish bait and cokes cold and the inside of my house is colder than the inside of this fridge. I had butter melt in it. Save your money, this is just a waste.

This review is for a black Manastin 4.5 cubic ft Mini-Fridge/Freezer with separate fridge and freezer compartments. I ordered this fridge at Midday on a Wednesday and delivery promise date was Saturday. The fridge came a day early on Friday which I was pleased to see. The box was delivered to my door in an upright position which is important for a fridge. It was packed well with foam padding and I had it opened and plugged in within 15 minutes. My previous Mini-Fridge was smaller with only one door and the freezing portion was a simple tray at the top of the fridge compartment. This new fridge is larger and has the benefit of a dedicated freezer compartment with its own door. I plugged it in and later added food to both compartments including freshly purchased ice cream, ground beef and chicken breast which went into the freezer and after several hours, both compartments were cold and the meat and ice cream in the freezer were frozen solid. One note is that this unit does not have an auto defrost function as a plastic scraper was provided with unit so manual defrosting may be necessary at some point down the road. All in all, I am pleased with the purchase thus far.

Update 02/23/2026 After I posted my review, the seller got in contact with me to address my concerns. Ultimately, it wound up refunding me the purchase price. For the company's being proactive in contacting me to address the concerns I listed in my original review, I'm updating my original review from 6.5/10 to 7 out of 10. ****************************************** The Good: The mini fridge has a good internal storage capacity. I'm able to place a half gallon carton of milk, some yogurt, and some other perishables in the refrigerator without problem. I haven't quite placed anything in the freezer yet, as I'm attempting to get the refrigerator section's temperature to a good dairy temperature, first. After that, I figure the freezer should be cold enough to store anything I need to freeze (excluding fish intended for sashimi/sushi). That said, one of the reasons I purchased this mini fridge was because I had hopes of placing sashimi/sushi fish in the freezer at some point and the provided description of the freezer specifically read in relevant part, as follows, "This mini refrigerator comes with 7 levels of temperature adjustment, from 28 to 50°F in the refrigerator and -9 to 23°F in the freezer." To do that, I'll need to turn the temperature down such that the freezer temperature is at or below -4° for a week at a time. Another positive with this mini fridge is that it is practically silent. I literally have fans that are louder than the fridge. There's barely a humming sound and even then I have to focus on trying to hear it. This is definitely a pretty quiet machine. The Bad: The temperature control is temperamental. I bought this mini fridge so that I could store milk and other perishables in my office. Milk and other dairy products should be stored between 33°F to 38°F. To confirm that the mini fridge has reached the proper temperature, I also got a digital refrigerator thermometer. When I turn the temperature dial to get the thermometer to 5, the temperature in the mini fridge plummets to about 33°F. However, that also makes everything else in the mini fridge just a hair above freezing. I've been trying to tinker with the temperature dial to get the temperature just below 38°F, but when I adjust the dial in the downward direction (toward the 4, but not anywhere near it), the temperature quickly raises over 40°F. As this is too warm for dairy products, I nudge the dial back upward toward the 5, but quickly find the temperature has dropped too low again. As a result, I've had to keep fiddling around with the dial in an effort to find that sweet spot. The Ugly: Unfortunately, in the meantime, the refrigerator section of the mini fridge has started to develop some bits of ice on the back wall. I've tried scraping some of it off, but the ice keeps coming back. While I understand needing to defrost the freezer from time to time, this mini fridge seems to require defrosting the refrigerator, too. Overall Impression: Overall, if I can get the fridge to hit the right temperature and also not have to defrost the refrigerator section, this would be perfect. That said, even if the fridge met those requirements, I'm not sure it's such a good value for the money. I have seen mini fridges with more capacity than this one being sold for about the same amount of money. However, those larger mini fridges would be too large for the space in which I placed this mini fridge in my office. Final Score: 6.5/10; Would not recommend.
