I was looking for a solid adjustable height desk for my home office, I was looking at another more expensive desk when my wife declared she did not like the color (who's office is it? ;). Found this one in a 'walnut' color that my wife found acceptable. The following is what I can tell you about my experience; I hope yours is the same. Delivery time: Deliver date was given as a week after I ordered it, however it arrived just two days after I ordered it. So high marks there. Packing/shipping package: The desk came in two parts - one for the legs/mechanicals and one for the desktop. I get the impression that you could purchase the legs and add your own custom top (perhaps from a cabinet maker or Home Depot/Lowe's, which is a terrific option. In retrospect, I might have done that.) The shipping packaging was solid. All pieces have sufficient amount of cardboard or stryrofoam to protect it from reasonable amounts of shipping damage. There is a high degree of likelihood that your desk will arrive in great shape. Material quality: Very good, more than I was expecting. The desktop is a 1" thick laminated top with clean ends, rounded edges and solid production - no visible voids, excess glue, corner chips, etc.. The legs appear to be of a sturdy guage of steel suitable for this application. Welds are smooth, clean, and complete. Finish appears to be powder coating and seems to be durable. Lift controller/control panel use high-quality computer/electronics-grade connections. Wires are more than sufficient grade for the application. A small bag of extra parts (screws, grommets, etc.) is included. Set up: The set up is pretty easy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are places where you will have to drill pilot holes, per the instructions, and that might be a challenge for some. Otherwise, the installation instructions are complete and quite easy to follow. Operation: Changing desk heights is easy and fast. There appears to be circuitry to account for acceleration and deceleration which works terrifically well. When I considered a 'standing' desk, I was concerned that changing desk heights was going to be cumbersome or slow, which would not motivate me to use it as a standing desk. The movement is quick and efficient. For my sitting position to the standing position (I'm tall) takes about 15-16 seconds - made very easy with the memory buttons. You press the button and it adjusts the height to where you want it. Works much better than I was expecting. Overall impression: This is a terrific desk. Much better quality than expected for the price. The first desk I was looking at was $400 more, so I saved a significant amount of cash. And...my wife likes the color! ;) The only 'con' I have is the desktop came in 4 pieces. Would have been nice if this was just two pieces. With 4 pieces it made it very easy to ship - a smaller package that requires less packing material to protect it. There are, however, 3 seams in the top where the pieces join. To be honest, having used the desk for a bit I really don't notice it much. And unless you are specifically looking for it, it looks like every other joined board tabletop. Everything else on this desk is great. I doubt you will be disappointed. Update 6/30/23: It is now about a month and a half after I purchased this desk. I am even more happier with it. I really don't notice the seams. My boys have been using the desk when I am not there, set it for their heights. It really is a nice product at a nice price. No complaints and very pleased with it. I have had several people comment on how awesome the desk is, and inquire where they can get one.

TLDR: A really solid desk that should be considered when shopping for standing L desks. Detailed: I spent months researching options for a standing desk and decided to give this one a try. I received the desk in two separate boxes and just be aware they are super heavy. I unpackaged everything and there was no major damage except to one of the leg's motor connector pieces. I reached out to the ViVo support team and they sent me a whole new leg in a very reasonable amount of time at no extra cost. Overall a positive experience with support. Putting together the desk was a bit of a pain. None of the pieces are labeled and while it doesn’t take too long to figure out what piece goes with what letter in the instructions, it is a bit annoying (could easily be fixed with little stickers or letters on the bags of screws/pieces). Assembly needs a lot of space as you have to essentially build it upside down and then flip it over, you will need 2 people to do this. Predrilled holes are in the right spots but the instructions are a bit confusing as mine was showing a smaller desk and some instructions didn't apply. There were a few pieces that came with my desk that I didn't need (like this small black square that fit the desk in the instruction manual but not my specific desk). Really not that hard to get together, just take it slow and steady and use your brain. That being said it could be easier with labeled pieces and only parts that apply to your desk. I've been using the desk for about 3 months now and love it. I've been working from home for about 3 years now and this is a huge upgrade for me. Plenty of space for my work set up and my personal PC / 3 monitors / plants / 2 keyboards / etc. I use the standing function way more than I thought I would and find myself standing for hours without even noticing it. The programable height settings are so awesome, allows me to quickly go from the height an inch or two above my chair's arms to standing in seconds. The motors are quiet and work well, meaning they don't sound stressed with the weight of items I have on the desk or wobble the items on the desk. I thought the finish would be a finger print and dust magnet but it actually isn't bad, my old L desk made out of cheap fake wood was way worse. Really happy with the purchase, I was able to expense the desk with my remote budget so cost wasn't a huge concern. Personally, I'd be happy with it even if the cost came out of my pocket. If you are looking for a solid standing L desk I'd recommend it.

Much happier with this than I thought I would be. First off I think the pictures make the desk top look thin and maybe flimsy (at least they did to me). They are nice and heavy duty though. The only possible draw back for some buyers might be that when you put it together there are gaps (small but still noticeable and will be a crumb catcher). So if you are looking for a smooth solid top this is no the desk for you (I got the 71 x 71 L).

Great desk for a decent price. I shopped for a while for a large, adjustable, symmetrical workspace and this fits my needs perfectly. It arrive with no damage (though the boxes looked rough) and all the parts were present. The surfaces are a full inch thick...no flexing here. Assembly was easy enough. I did it solo, but another set of hands or two would have expedited the process. Put cardboard under the legs to facilitate lining up the pre-drilleds and moving around as necessary. Wiring and cable management was a breeze. I had some nicer cable ties/mounts and didn't use the included strap mounts. The result is quite sturdy. I have zero concerns around its durability. After plugging everything in and attempting to test the raise/lower feature, I got an error code on the small adjustment display. After a few expletives, reseating all the connections, and cycling the power, all was well. Height adjustment is smooth and easily controllable. (minor) Gripes: - The center section is two pieces. This really should be a single piece and would elevate the overall esthetic. Not a huge deal, but my mouse does stumble on the transition from time to time. Minor thing. - As others have mentioned, there are very small gaps between surface junctions. If you look closely, you can make out the floor/wall/whatever under the surface junctions. I was very careful with assembly and even used a dead-blow mallet to gently persuade the surfaces together as tightly as possible. The pre-drilled assembly bracket holes lined up perfectly, so I guess this is just the way it's made. Again, not a huge deal, but worth mentioning. I plan to apply some tape to the joints from beneath just to eliminate the eye-catching light between seams that occasionally interrupts my flow. Overall, super pleased with the purchase. Would give it a 4.5 if possible. Recommended.

So far so good, I did have to search online to find the relevant videos, but they're there. I couldn't assemble everything upside-down as the instructions suggested as I'm disabled, so I assembled the frame and the the desktop on top of the frame and then used the pre-drilled pilot holes in the underside of the desktop to mount it to the frame. Grommets came out a few times so I had to get creative, and lots of breaks. Now that it's done I'm enjoying it so much.

Purchased this with hesitation because of the complaints about instructions to build it. I am so glad I ignored them and took the leap. I am a 68 year old "fit" woman and it took me about 5 hours to build on my own including setting up my computer with two monitors. No help from anyone. I will explain how at the end of this review if any one is interested. This desk is very stable and sturdy. The steel is quite thick; the legs without the top, weight 75 lbs. It is virtually silent when adjusting the height and it moves very smoothly. adjustability makes this desk comfortable and ergonomic. The top, although it has 3 seams, is very "fluid" in moving the mouse and are smooth with no "lippage". The only thing missing as far as instructions go is the labeling of the parts. However, I spent 5 minutes going through the instruction booklet and labeled the parts before I started. That made the build extremely easy. Holes are all pre-drilled and perfectly lined up. I did have to drill 1 hole to finish attaching the electronics....no big deal. How, without any help did it put the 155 lb desk together by myself? I built the legs as the instructions described. Then I had a platform that I built the top on, flipped it over and slid it onto the legs and instead of having it upside down to attach the top to the legs, I got under the desk and lined everything up (which was quite easy) and attached them together from underneath. I did one outside leg, the inside leg and then the other outside leg. Everything lined up perfect. Also installed the electronics from below the top. Beautiful desk!
