I used this filter for 7 months in my AP801 housing. A small piece of the filter started flaking off as I was pulling it out of the housing to replace it. It goes to show that you are taking your chances if you leave this filter in the housing for longer than recommended. The filter was discolored from the sediment that it had filtered since it was installed. It's a good filter, but I didn't reorder it as it is pricey. KleenWater makes a comparable filter for about half the price. Also, this item doesn't even include an o-ring like some of the other filter replacement options from other brands. ... show more

great fit for OEM replacement filter, easy to install and comes with internal rubber gasket. However, the o-ring for the filter housing is not included and needs to be purchased separately. I wish they would include that o-ring as well because it must be replaced every 6 months to ensure no leaks from the filter unit housing.
