  • Rainbow filament absorbs too much moisture.
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Rainbow
I bought a roll of this stuff and it printed well for the first day or two. After two days, I started getting underextrusions, eventually leading to a clogged nozzle. I tried upping the temp, as well as tested settings from that other reviewers had posted here on Amazon, but I kept getting jams no matter what I did. I suspected the filament was highly hydroscopic, so I measured the roll on my postal scale, recorded the results, and dried it in my food dehydrated overnight. When I weighed the roll the next day, it had lost over 8G in weight. That tells me this filament sucks up too much moisture. I would recommend that you store this roll in a sealed bag with desiccant anytime you're not using it. This version changes colors very slowly. You would need to print something very big to get more than 2 colors. I'm pretty disappointed by the performance of this filament to be honest. ... show more

  • Poor Layer Adhesion; Weak Prints
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Rainbow
I enjoyed the colors that I got from prints with this product. I have a couple successful prints which came put okay and the color is very warm and silky, shines good and has a nice shine on the glass bed. However, the number of failures and headaches I got from printing with this material makes it such I would never purchase it again, amd can not recommend it to others. Layer adhesion is very bad with this filament. I found my prints failing with delamination often until I had the temperature right. I found 215 works best on my Select Mini V2. On the Prusa i3 MK3S the material prints fine at 210, with the bed set to 70 (my mini V2 maxed out at 60). However, I found that it was very sticky on the bed and left a mark from where I had printed after removing the print. I realize this wear is to be expected over time, but it was disappointing to see happening immediately from this filament. Overall, successful prints with this material were weak, even when printed with additional perimeter and more infill. Even with the Prusa I found prints easily breaking apart at the layers. Update: I updated this review to 3 stars because I found ways to make it print better. Use a 60% fan speed min for autospeed settinga, and keep the fan off for the first 3 layers. ... show more

  • Terrible Filament
This product came with 5 rolls of filament. EVERY roll jammed up my printer after only a couple of hours of printing. This was a complete waste of my money & I'm still finding it hard to believe that all of the rolls failed to print while jamming and causing under extrusion issues on my printer. Amazingly bad consistency. Edit: I ended up getting my order replaced & the new filament had no issues printing. It was quite a big difference in the quality so I am thankful for them fixing the issue. It would seem that the consistency of their product is suspect & for that reason, I cannot give this product more than 3 stars ... show more

  • Great Filament!!!
Size: 1KG Color: Black 1kg
This filament is great! It is a joy to print with and I never have to worry about it messing up or breaking! I have used Sunlu for many times and I even use a Sunlu S8 printer and I love it! My prints come out very clean and even when there is detail in a print like this Baby Groot, it still comes out clean! I HIGHLY recommend Sunlu PLA filament for anyone new or old to 3D printing!! ... show more

  • Nice looking, inconsistent results
Size: 1KG Color: Marble
I got a few nice prints out of it with 0.4mm nozzle @ 205C. Later, it clogged on a very long print with the same settings and failed spectacularly. I bumped up the temperature to 215C and use a higher layer height of 0.28, with better results with the same print. Next print, I moved to a larger 0.6mm nozzle to prevent clogging (same temps). It finished successfully, but the printed object broke apart in several places at layer lines after picking it up. Very strange. Finally got fed up and printed a temp testing tower - and it looks like 230-235C is where this filament is happiest. (I had to use a PLA+ tower, as this won't even print at less than 200C). This is rated 200-230C Too early to tell if 235C + 0.6mm makes prints strong & reliable, but I have gotten at least a few nice prints from this and the price is great, so I'll only take off one star. ... show more

  • makes beautiful prints.
Size: 1KG Color: Silk Rainbow
I gave this filament a 5 star rating because of how it prints and the end result of your print. I've been using this filament to make flower vases using Cura's spiralize vase mode with some print adjustments. So far, so good. They even manage to hold water without any interior waterproofing ( I use spray shellac). The only downside is the filament doesn't change color as often as the write-up on Amazon. The first 2 vases and a drink coaster used over 22 meters and the color has yet to change. May have to print another big vase to see what happens. Filament likes to print hotter than regular PLA; print @ 215/220C with a heated bed @ 65C. I initially gave this a 5 star rating, but after using this filament for several months now, I find it lacking in changing colors like otherwise posted.. In fact it is very slow to change and many times takes well over 20 to 30 meters to change color. I've tried another brand and the change is much faster. Won't buy again. ... show more

  • Worked great. No need to change settings.
Size: 1KG Color: Black 1kg
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have been printing for a few years now. I wanted to try other brand PLA then my normal brand. SUNLU brand has been working great so far. I have not had to change any of my printer or slicer settings to print great models and parts. I have not had any failed sprints or clogged nozzles. I see alot of reviews on here about clogged nozzles and stringing. I would take this with a grain of salt as most people change filament to see if it fixes issues that are already there before the test. Too many factors are involved then just the filament used. Great stuff would recommend giving it shot. ... show more
