The wood filament is fantastic! I’ve probably bought 10-12 rolls of it or so and it been great! It was a learning curve to print, since it is a brittle filament and did clog my nozzle a few times while finding the right settings for my printers but it’s been running smooth since! I absolutely love the textured feel it has because it feels more like wood than filament. It sticks to both my textured PEI plate and Smooth PEI plate well with no glue needed. I just had to keep them temp down on the build plate. It also prints at a lower temperature so the wood doesn’t burn in the nozzle (I found that out the hard way). All around it’s great filament and easy enough to use. I do get some stringing that I haven’t been able to get rid of while printing but all in all my prints come out very clean and I can just use a heat gun to get rid of the stringing.

Although the color is beautiful, this is, without a doubt, the worst filament that I have ever used. The filament package was vacuum sealed, and the bag was not violated in shipping; however, there are multiple flaws that make the filament unusable. The surface is rough. The diameter is out of spec ranging from 1.71mm to 1.80mm on the portions that I tested with my micrometer. In spite of it being sealed, I was experiencing popping and clogging when I tried to use it. Drying the spool in my filament dryer reduced the popping but did not entirely eliminate the popping. It made no difference to the clogging behavior. On the last attempt to print with it, this filament clogged my nozzle so badly that I had to disengage the drive and manually clear it. I will NOT risk using this again. Every long print with this filament fails due to the inconsistent blend and clogging. Other PLA, including other silk PLA, from multiple different manufactures prints fine. Because I was unable to attempt longer prints within the return period, I'm now stuck with a very expensive doorstop.

Reviewing White Oak Wood PLA. This brand was unknown to me; but, I have been very pleased by the quality of the prints using a Bambu printer with a .8 nozzle at 190C. Among the 4 brands of wood filament I've tried, this produced the best looking results with far less stringing. Very, very nice. Be sure to dry the filament well, as with all wood PLA.

Really like this filament. That said, it has gotten stuck in my Bambu A1 direct extruder suggested the diameter is larger/smaller than tolerance. I know it was stuck in the extruder because it wouldn't push out of the extruder even with the hot head removed. Only happen 1 time, but was in the middle of a 200g print and failed at 168g; so about $7.00 down the toilet and back 12 hours in print time. Update: Failed on reprint after about 93g. So out 261g filament for a 200g print... Trying again. Will be requesting a replacement if this next one fails. I looked back at my smaller prints and realized I hit the same problem on another print, but it was at the very end of the print so I expect no impact on it. Really torn on this filament. I love the appearance, but quality control on filament diameter appears lacking. 10Apr25 Update: Clogs continue to be a problem, especially in case of long prints. Drying helps out a lot, but if you cannot dry and feed to your printer you should expect clogging. Love the color and print quality so I am keeping it 4 star, but I cannot give it a 5 star given the advance handling required. Also to clarify - the clogging occurs during filament switch on a Bambu A1 Mini. Only humidity issue I see during printing itself is it will start to get stringy after about 2-3 days of being out and printing in approximately 50% ambient humidity (Florida)

I was honestly scared to try this filament, given all the folks who had problems with clogs and all. And while I have extra nozzles and could have easily changed mine out to a .6mm before printing, I was too lazy. But I did follow all of the various pieces of advice, including slowing down the print speed (I just moved it to 80% of the default for 'precision' printing on my Ankermake), recommended temperatures for bed and printing, fan kept on, and I used a raft for better adhesion and a glue stick on the bed. The first print was a delicate statue that I didn't take a picture of because my kid was go giddy at how great it was she wrapped it up for her teacher before I could snap a pic. Print #2 I managed to stall her long enough to get a photo. Both items printed on first try, no clogs, no issues at all. I'm being careful to store it now in a bin where I have a little dehumidifier, and I look forward to doing more with wood pla! Oh - and while these prints do not have a wood grain look, they definitely feel more like wood than any of my other PLA. They are very cool little prints. I would buy again.

Lots of issues I’ve never had with other brands of PLA. Maybe I got a bad spool? For some reason it doesn’t stick to the bed well. Finally I got it to stick with a different file to print but when it printed the product was brittle and I could snap it into pieces in my hand. Also the rainbow color transition is very slow.
