This is a nice light display. Pretty simple. Mount or locate the top/star on a wall, high fence, side of house, etc. The vertical light strings drape down from the star and some ground hooks are provided that allow you to attach the light strings to the ground area. This is made pretty much to go on the ground or grass. You can put it on a porch or concrete area but would need some way to anchor the light strings. Perhaps some blocks or heaver wood beams. Looks great at night and works well.

I mixed this set in with another set of colored lights that I had that had no topper. My DH made a tree stand that these goes on our front lawn. I alternated the strands of the two sets, one color and one warm white. They look beautiful together. I didn't take a picture since the two were from different sellers. That being said, this set would look beautiful on its own. The light strands are about 2 feet longer than many others on the market (10 feet long with this set vs 8 ft on my other set). The lights, star and all, can be seen from several hundred yards away (down our street). The remote comes with a battery and is easy to use. You can change settings via the adapter, but the remote makes it so much easier. Be sure to keep track of the remote. I placed a piece of tape on the back and marked which set of lights it goes with. While the lights themselves are waterproof, and I was able to test that out during our recent torrential rains, the adapter that plugs into an electrical outlet or cord is not. Ours is outside and we cover it with a plastic bag and tape it close. No issues so far. A beautiful addition to outdoor lighting, and very easy to install.

This beautiful tree was a great addition to our camp site at Disney's Ft. Wilderness Campground. It's easy to set up and comes with the stakes for each of the strings of lights. The lights are Red and Green and have a variety of flashing or steady on modes which can be changed with a button on the plug in adaptor, or with a remote control. I had an issue with the remote control. I had pulled out the plastic tab but it still didn't work. Changed the battery and it worked fine, then put the original battery back in and it worked, so I'm not sure what happened, but all is fine now. The strings of lights are about 10-1/2 feet long. We had it on a shepherds hook mounted up about 7 or 8 feet off the ground, and as you can see from the pictures, it was a great height. We even had about 6 inches of light string left on the ground. Makes a great lawn ornament. I recommend it.

I do a lot of exterior Christmas decorations and this LED star with string lights is a great addition. They are incredibly bright, they definitely catch the eye from far away. I nailed a hook into a tree limb and hung it from there. I like that this decoration is versatile enough that it can be placed almost anywhere. I did unbind all the strands of lights at the stame time while I was on the ladder so it took an extra couple of minutes to straighten them when I got down to stake them down. (they will definitely tangle into each other somewhat if you release them all at one time.) It has rained twice since I put this decoration up and all the lights are still working great. As others have mentioned, there are no instructions included with this item so working the remote is just guesswork. I deducted a star from my rating for that reason only. This is a great decoration and at this price point it is an excellent value. I am enjoying mine and Love what an impact it makes in my decorations scheme.

I purchased a home last year, and finally wanted to get my home decorated for Christmas this year. I ordered these lights hoping for something that would add a little holiday cheer to my property. I was right! These lights have a ton of settings. They're bright and were super easy to set up. I didnt' read the instructions, and it took me all of 20 mins in the cold and dark Ohio weather. I've had them up for a few weeks now, and they really add a bit of Christmas to my other holiday decor. I would buy these over and over again. Great addition to my family holiday!!

Everything arrived as described in the listing. Super easy to install, just note that it would be a lot easier to have a partner if you’re going the full 11 feet. Otherwise, up and down the ladder per string. I made the mistake of letting them all fall once it was hung and it just became a big tangled mess. Remote works, but note you need to be in DIRECT line of sight for it to function. Comes with all-on and 7 different blinky and fade programs. Also has diming, a timer and on/off. Quite a lot for the price point! Would recommend Ron
