I have a 3500-square-foot warehouse that was insulated with sprayed foam and was completely sealed. It has been plagued by humidity problems - tools were rusting. I originally planned to drill holes to install ventilation fans, but eventually decided to try a commercial dehumidifier. Five days after placing the order, I received the unit. It has excellent dehumidification capabilities. Recently, it has been particularly humid and rainy. The dehumidifier is set at 50%, but even though I frequently enter and exit the warehouse, the humidity always remains between 55% and 45%. In contrast, the humidity in my garage has reached 80%.     • Doesn’t Cover Quite As Much Sq. Footage

Works well for the most part. I had a HVAC company come out for mold growth in my basement and they suggested a $3,700 whole house dehumidifier which was a bit too high for me at the moment. I bought a few sensors that read the humidity level in my basement was ranging from 52% to 58% most days (during July). It’s about an 1100 sq ft basement and this dehumidifier is supposed to cover more square footage than what I have need for. I assumed it would work fast and great. I set the humidity level for 35% hoping that it would take 2-3 days to bring it down from the 50’s to 35%. Within hours it brought it down to the mid 40 percentile. After a few days it never dipped below 40% on the calibrated sensors in the basement despite it reading 38%. I thought maybe the display just wasn’t calibrated correctly so I lowered the humidity level to 30% but after 2 days it still mostly hung out in the low to mid 40’s. I dropped it to 25% and still it hung out in mid to low 40’s with it occasionally dropping to 38-39%. I reckon if I bought a second one it might reach 35% and keep it there more consistently but I feel as long as it remains in the 40 percentile range the basement is fine. If the unit was advertised as covering less square footage I’d give it 5 stars but because it does state it but cannot bring my 1100 sq foot basement to 35% then I feel 3 stars is adequate for its coverage. This dehumidifier is amazing. It tackles moisture quickly and efficiently. Replaced with 2 small units. Restaurant floor does get slippery when it rains outside. Especially opening and closing of the entrance doors often. We are using it in a 4000 sq ft restaurant and it performs very well. We maintain a humidity level of 45% and not a problem. ... show more
