My 2007 RAM sure looks great with the new single DIN radio! This really filled the hole just how I wanted. The thing is reasonably hard to assemble. The clips snap in fine, but the rectangular part kept popping back out of place. I noticed this before I put the radio into the truck. I still rate this as 5 stars because it looks and works so well. I fixed mine by using some PVC cement on a toothpick, daubing the parts (with the radio inside first!) then clamping the two parts together for an hour. P.S. Why all the reviews here that mention a wiring harness? This item is just the plastic mount. There is no wiring harness! For the price, this thing is a real bargain!

The "slots" were extremely tight on the sides where the OEM cover goes over/into this kit. Luckily, I tried to fit them together BEFORE putting it all together on the dash and realized this as it would have been extremely difficult to get back off without breaking something. Due to the way the OEM cover clips into the dash, it doesn't really have to clip into this thing in those slots, so I simply broke those slots open so they no longer clip into it. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!!!! Terrible! 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab basic stereo, replacing with aftermarket. 1st.. cannot attach trim plate. 2nd.. wiring harness is a joke. As you can see by the picture nothing matches up. Shame on me for not taking apart my vehicle before soldering all the connections. Fare warning.. do not attempt to clip the factory harness after frustration and wire new head unit straight to vehicle. Go to online or to store and get correct harness.

The adaptor Fit the dash perfectly. The interface included with the premium kit makes the install take no time at all. The wiring adaptor has 2 plugs-you will only use one of them I think that creates a lot of confusion. Only the larger plug from your OE radio is used the smaller plug is not needed.

The original radio in my wife’s 04 Durango bit the dust. A friend who is an audio guy recommended this unit & I’m glad he did. This one allows me now to talk hands free on my phone & also has Bluetooth so I can play the songs on my phone. Would highly recommend!
