Works great on my 1,800 gallon 7x14x2.5 ft pool. You must have a cover (bubble wrap type) and a full pool cover to retain heat! If you skip this step you will regret your purchase and think it is useless. Heat retention is key. Without the cover my pool will drop from 90 to 70 degrees overnight, even with the heater running. With pool covers, I can heat up the pool from 90 to 95+ overnight easily as long as outside temps stay above 35. This heat pump will not be effective at freezing temperatures. If you live in a climate with regular below freezing temps then source a heat pump that works in your region. Easily heats my pool from 80 to 90 degrees in 6 hours at 55 degrees with a 1500 gph pump. Pay attention to pump size and dont exceed maximum rating for your heater!

Terrible terrible terrible product and customer service. The instructions are very vague. Customer service never answers ans you have to wait days for a response if you get one. I have waited almost a month and the unit is still not working. I have sent all pictures ans videos of the unit they asked for and all I get in return is ummm we will call u back. The unit doesn't come with all the pieces for assembly which they dont mention anywhere. For $1000 it is a terrible product and i will contact the BBB as well

Would definitely buy from these folks again. The documentation for the pool heater could be better, but the customer service more than makes up for it! My heater shipped displaying metric and wanted to switch to standard. I called and Jesse had them create a video showing how to do it. I received a link that afternoon, fixed! Speaking with a human is fast and easy!! Thanks Working as advertised. Quiet and effective even in Wyoming. The temperature differential ranges between three and four degrees depending on the day, but when it reaches the desired temperature it holds it well. Ran ours at 92 degrees. 18 foot x 52 inches above ground with an upgraded pump and hard piping. Must use an insulated cover at night, but we had a mild summer this year, with only a few days above 95 degrees. The whole family enjoyed the pool this year. That would not have been possible without this heater! Would have given this heater a five star but it could use an external antenna for the WiFi connection. I will find an extender for my home WiFi to keep it from dropping and having to reconnect daily. The heater works perfectly without it, but I enjoy being able to check or set the temperature from my phone.

** Second Edit** I changed my review from one star to five. The company did reach out and offered to pay for the price of plug that I bought to fix this and even offered to pay for shipping if I wanted to return it. After using this all this summer, I would say BUY IT! I can not believe how fast this raised the temperature of our above ground pool. Our pool is under a patio cover and doesn't get any sun. Even when it is 90 outside, the pool would only get to 75 degrees without this thing. The app makes it so easy to control the heat pump. **EDIT** I bought a new GFCI plug end from Amazon and the pool heater works again. I will continue updating if I have any more problems. I still feel for the price I paid it should come with a plug that lasts and works safely and correctly for more than a month and a half. Worked great until it didn't. It does heat up the water and very quiet but only lasted about a month and a half. It is dead, won't turn on at all and singed my electrical outlet. I am going to try to replace the plug and see if I can get it working again but for this price I feel it should have came with a better plug. The reset and test buttons on the plug are soft and get stuck when trying to reset.

I had a great experience with customer support, Jessie was amazing. She communicated promptly with solutions for my issues, she was very helpful. The Heat/chill combo machine works great and really extended my pool time about 3-4 more weeks. Temperature at night was below 60°F, start the heater in the morning and by the afternoon pool temperature was between 72°F and 74°F, which it is good enough to enjoy a few hours inside the pool, especially on the weekends.
