My elderly father has a very small pool. He uses it to cool off, wade around, and keep mobile. Between having too much shade overhead and his tolerance to cold decreasing the water is simply too cold for him. This heat pump has been great. Installation wasn’t the easiest, but that is no fault to Varpoolfaye. Space was tight, we had to run a new electrical branch, and due to his salt cell we had to get creative. For the vast majority of homeowners I’d recommend hiring a plumber and electrician. That is a cost no one likes to pay, but the rule of thumb is “The more you do the more they’ll have to fix.” In the end his water temp went from 75*F to 82*F, but now I’m looking at installing one for my pool!

I have a 4800gal 18' dia above ground pool and that's close to the limit on this 110v pool heater. I use a 12" sand filter with a 3/4hp pump and I need to cut the water flow by about 50% or it pumps too fast to efficiently heat the water. At 50% it does a great job of keeping our pool at 82° even on cool nights. Can remotely monitor with the app. Use your pool later into the season with this heater.

Its 63F overnight and it’s not even keeping temperature warm water is getting colder (5000 gallon pool) while this running and takes electricity, total waste of money
