I bought this generator when I worked a security job that required me to be on-site and in my car for 10+ hours. This generator could charge my gaming PC, laptop, phone, or whatever else I decided to bring all at the same time while never dying. Everything charges super quickly and it never gets too hot or loud. Me being my clumsy self I've dropped it a few times, but that has never affected its performance one bit. I have been tinkering for some time pairing (much less wattage) LiFePo 12v10aH batteries with USB dash mounts, 12v SAE & lighter plugs paired with 150w inverters usually a mess in a tub of almost usable in non existent extreme situations. TIME FOR AN UPGRADE? My Refurbished grab bag chance came what I would call NEW but as the new price dropped the following week, that may explain that. Size wise? Well let's be honest there is very little the modern home or glamper is going to use it for that is cost effective or long duration even at 4x the price/capabilities. So price per watt and reasonable expectation wise at a size & weight not unreasonable to pack along, it is in a sweet spot. Primary perks for me were pass through charging & dual solar + USB-C charge capabilities. (WARNING you will need an off brand 12v capable USB-C solar output to utilize that feature off grid. It won't double the charge in itself but bumping a hand full of watts is priceless. The lame experiment (Duh, at much over cost of current grid electrical) can I charge a 36v 15aH (over 500aH but within specks @ ex: 42v 2a 120v ebike charger = 85aH & down inverter draw) with this AND a 100w panel on a SUNNY mid day? (Answer: You can but ONLY if you go off label with a FlexSolar 100w (w/USB-C 12v 60w dual mode capabilities. 800ish aH need is a lot to expect from a mere 280is aH device without a lot of solar help) Otherwise charging phones or running led lighting & smaller 120v devices for limited periods vs tub of wannabe spare parts for the expected 2x the cost and 2x the capacity at half the weight of the tub of loose stuff, it's a win win. Sure not as repairable as a tub of junk but "oops I forgot" wise it's priceless. Built in MPPT charger eliminates another pile of lesser stuff. Assuming you can believe what it is telling me, I have toyed with a lot of PWM and even MPPT loose charge controllers. THIS alone seems to maximize optimum & non optimal solar sunlight charging. Built in MPPT utilization on any panel was an unexpected bonus as well. Just be reasonable on what it can and can not run for how long. Portable with multiple features in a tiny footprint and reasonable price point is what it offered to ume. Dual (in our case solar simultaneous) charge capable is why we went with at least the 300 model here. Name recognition/reputation the other. ... show more

I really like the ease of use of a Jackery Power Station. I use my small ones every day. I want lights where there are no plugs in my RV. I charge the phones, as use them most of the day. I have many do-dads it also charges. A rechargeable light for my cats litter box, is a must. I refuse to buy Jackery solar panels as cords too short and the portable panel quality is excellent but the wires fried my panels after less than 20 uses and their customer service stinks. I use another brand with a 20 ft cord instead. That way I can leave my Jackery inside and secure while the panels lay on my hood and charges the Jackery. ... show more

I have a Echo flow River 600 which is a very good unit and American company but also pricey battery generator That had an expandable battery option which i got later. I wanted something else a little more portable and just a back up. This Jackery 300 has ran my 12 volt cooler all night and still has 65%. I had bought an Ltake to try out and that until failed terrible! I sent it back and got this referbished Jacket 300 and so glade I did! This is a good solid generator! If you are wanting to invest in a battery Generator stay with the name brands that are popular! Jackery is an American Company and offers a solid product! The only reason I take one star is I do not I now why they did not include some kind of light on this?? Also I would like to see the display light to set to remain on if desired rather they to keep having to push the button to see the staus. Other then that very pleased and impressed with the Jackery 300!! Check out hobo tech for in depth tests and reviews on these type products. Do your research to suit your needs. This little mighty Jacket 300 Is powering a Marshall Origin 10/25/50 watt amp flawlessly drawing 72 to 100watts from the Jackery with no static like you would find on products with less the desirable invertors. Also running a Roland Cube street ex 12 volt or AC with out any issues. Now I am eye balling the Montech x1000 Again stay with the name brands! ... show more

I keep it charged and in the same place all the time so when the lights go out I know where to find it. I bought one for each of my daughters. I also bought solar powered panels for added backup.

Item seems to not run right only got to charge it once and tried it out and gave a little issues fan turns on then off not sure if this is normal

Bought this Jackery Explorer 300 for a few months now and it’s been wonderful. We took this unit everywhere we go; beach, park, camping and it’s been working nicely. Very durable and well made.
