I didn't realize this is a Peltier device, when I purchased it. I think that's very cool, eco-friendly and energy efficient. I did think the advertised chill down to 15 degrees F would happen, but it only achieves 29 degrees F reliably. That's good for short-term storing of frozen foods, even for gradual thawing of roast or chicken (I don't think a turkey would fit). Great for super chilled drinks. I haven't used the warming feature, but I can see, especially for a big meal, that being very useful. Update: Since I gave up on trying to keep frozen things very cold in it, I find it reliably stays below 40, usually 34-37 degrees. ... show more

We’re adding a coffee station to our bedroom and ordered this mini fridge for storing our milk and cans of soda. We temporarily have the unit with the external temperature gauge set up in an upstairs room that gets very warm in summer and even though we’ve had some days where the room temp has gotten up to 78 degrees the unit has consistently kept between 34-43 degrees and runs very quietly. Cans of soft drinks are ice cold and we can easily store a pint of milk and 6-8 cans of soda. We’ve only had ours for a month and while I don’t know how long the unit will last right now we couldn’t be happier with our purchase. ... show more

    • Not a Freezer, Despite the Description

There are many of these for sale in this price range and all of them except this one explain that they are not freezers and can only drop the temperature so much from room temp. The description of this one falsely says it's a mini freezer, and a freezer is what we needed, so I got this one and had to send it back. It's not a Freezer. It can only drop the temperature so far under the room temperature, so the only way this could be a freezer is if it was outside in the cold or used inside of another refrigerator. But if you just need a fridge, this is a pretty nice one. Seem to work well. Only other problem was that they put their nonsensical brand name in large ugly type on the outside instead of it looking clean and simple. If you need a freezer, I'm afraid you'll have to spend more for the ones that freeze and use a real compressor instead of a simple fan. And most of them open from the top instead of the side like this. ... show more

I just needed something with a small footprint to keep some drinks and creamer cold. I like the digital set point, it is accurate to what the temp is inside. The back wall is actually colder than the ambient temp, as the cooling is being created by the cold plat in back, thus anything closer to the back wall will be a bit cooler. I feel comfortable that it is cool enough to store my coffee creamer and keep it fresh. I have seen reviews that said that it took a long time to get cold, and or didn't work. Worked fine right out of the box and was cold within an hour. As for noise just sounds like the fan from a computer running next to my desk, it is just white noise and doesn't bother me. I am glad I purchased the 20L over the smaller ones. I am very happy with this purchase. I do wish I could change the side the door opens on, but that is just being picky. ... show more

At first I was a little hesitant, as the plan was to use this to store diabetic supplies, including juice boxes, insulin, glucose gel, etc. After multiple of checking temperatures to ensure that the insulin would be kept within the proper range, my hesitations were removed. The only other concern was the fact that the refrigerator's feet were not spaced far enough, creating a tipping risk. My solution was to put 1" foam weatherstrips underneath to provide a more solid base, and it works.     • Not a bad little fridge.
I use this fridge under my desk at work. I buy groceries at the beginning of the week, place them in the fridge and they are good for the rest of the week. It doesn't take long for the fridge to cool (I turn it off over the weekend.) and it keeps everything cold. Creamer for coffee, bagged salad, cheese, salad dressing, left over lunch, all stay cold.
