  • AI Vision? Mine needs glasses…And Got Them (Updated Review)
Color: Gray
This is an update to a review I gave the Aiper Scuba V3 AI I did a few weeks ago. A lot has changed - for the better! After posting my review, I was contacted by Aiper Customer Support via Amazon. One of their support folks (Yohanna). She sent me a long, detailed message asking me the check various settings on the robot, for any photos I could supply showing my pool, issues I was seeing etc. She also gave me more detail on how the Scuba robot operates. She also mentioned they had an update to the firmware and asked me the check/change a few of the settings on the robot. I was very impressed with the quickness of response and the details and recommendations they provided. They also offered to extend my 30 day return window (I was a week or so past it). I responded to the message and told them I would do the software update and change the one setting (Adaptive mode rather then shaped). After making the changes, I ran the Scuba again. It made a huge difference! I actually saw the Scuba do a rotation, notice a small dark leaf on the pool floor and went to it and cleaned it up. After the complete cleaning cycle - the pool looked great!!! I can’t say enough about the after-sales support of Aiper. The support person messaged me a few more times to check how it was going and to make sure I was a happy customer! Needless to say, my older review (I left it below) is now no longer my actual review. If I could give Aiper 5+ stars I would - both on how well the Scuba V3 operates and cleaned AND how great their support is. Highly recommended :-) ————————————————— old review for reference —————————————————————— AI Must mean Always Ignoring. I have used this Scuba V3 for approx. 6 times and so far I would not say I am not impressed. Let’s get the positives out of the way. It is pretty light Cordless is much easier than corded Wireless charging dock is well designed and easy to use Simple “push one button” operation Good filter basket and fine fabric filter What has been an issue. After every cycle, there is always a few things left in the bottom of the pool. For the 90% that it cleans, it cleans well. When first dropped in, it does a full 360 rotation. Maybe figuring out where the walls are. What is frustrating is that it does this multiple times. Not cleaning, just looking around. It would be fine if it’s “vision” and “AI” saw something and went and vacuumed it up. At least with my robot - it often just goes right by things that are obvious. Frankly, the AI Vision needs a lot of work. I am close to returning it and going back to my corded Dolphin which at least cleans better. I am hope a firmware update gives it better “vision”. I still have a few weeks on the return window. At this point and at the price point of the Scuba V3 I have a hard time recommending it. And I had such high hopes… ... show more

  • Works perfectly! Great product.
Color: Gray
Works perfectly! The AI feature looks for debris first and picks it all up and then goes back and cleans the whole pool in a definite pattern. It climbs walls without any issues. I have a rectangle vinyl lined pool. My pool is spotless when it’s done. The battery life is good when just cleaning the floor surface (goes approximately 3 hours). It’s very light weight and easy to put in and parks itself on the waterline for ease of lifting it out. The only con is the function of the app since it loses its signal once it goes underwater. But it’s easy enough just to use the buttons on the unit itself. I love the product. ... show more

  • Fantastic Pool Cleaner
Color: Gray
This is my first cordless pool cleaner. I did spend hours researching and comparing different robot vacuums. I settled on this one because it comes with the ultra fine filter which I really needed because I was battling mustard algae. The ultra fine filter picks up the tiniest of particles. I'm really impressed. I know some people complained about having to by replacement ultra fine filters after uses, but you don't necessarily need the ultra fine filter for it to work regularly. That doesn't bother me, as I've seen first hand how well it works. It is also very easy to use and I also like the charging stand. Battery life lasts around 4hrs which is enough if it's on the floor setting which also gets the slanted sides. The auto setting I'm not sure if it get's everywhere in the pool, I've only used it once. ... show more

  • AIPER Scuba V3 Is Good, But Less Powerful and Less Effective than the 2025 X1
Color: Gray
I originally bought the 2025 Scuba X1 in May 2025. In March 2026, I sent it in for a warranty repair and I bought the 2026 Scuba V3 to use while they were repairing the 2025 model and as a backup. Here's what I think you should know. Compared to the 2025 Scuba X1, the 2026 V3 is smaller, holds less debris, weighs less, and, importantly, is significantly less powerful (4800 GPH vs 6600 GPH). Whereas the 2025 X1 leaves the bottom of the pool spotless, the 2026 V3 leaves some leaves, especially around the drain where the leaves tend to collect. AIPER says that the 2026 version has an AI Patrol System that detects 20 debris types and cleans pools 10 times faster than something, but in the case of my pool those features were outweighed by the reduced suction -- it just was not as effective as the 2025 X1. That said, they are both good machines and AIPER is a good company (they were excellent at doing the warranty repair, though it would have been ever better if they sent me a box for the return) and I much prefer both machines to the wired Dolphin machine that I previously had. If I had to do it again, however, I would opt for something more powerful than the 4,800 GPH in the 2026 V3 because it doesn't leave the pool as clean as the 6,600 GPH 2025 X1. One other note -- I also have the AIPER Surfer S2 Robotic Solar Pool Skimmer. It's a great machine for picking up leaves at the water line and, because it's solar powered (in addition to being battery chargeable), it lasts a long time. You'll definitely want a pool skimmer in addition to the pool vacuum -- one is for the waterline and the other for the floor and sides of the pool.. I believe that there's a 2026 V3 pro model that includes a skimmer and a more powerful suction than the regular 2026 V3, but at the moment it costs more than $2,000 on Amazon, and that's a steep price to pay. I prefer the 2025 X1 coupled with the AIPER Surfer S2, which combined cost about $1300. ... show more

  • ** Updated Review - Aiper Scuba V3 **
Color: Gray
** Updated Review ** (6/25/26) I have used the Scuba V3 a couple months now, almost daily, and there have been a several changes since my original negative review. Aiper support, which was a terrible experience with the repair/replacement of our other unit - the Surfer 2, genuinely cared about my issue(s) with the Scuba v3. They proactively reached out to me and offered to replace or refund my purchase, WITHOUT HASSLE. Kudos to them! A+ for a completely different experience than my first go around. Secondly, they changed some of the over-hyped marketing about the product, bringing the product more in-line with real life experience. Third, we seem to have found a “sweet spot” to get the unit to function as expected (i.e. cleaning the actual pool). We turned off ALL AI functionality, but left the camera on. That did three things: A) THE UNIT ACTUALLY CLEANED THE POOL! ; B) It seemed to extend the battery life to be comparable to the charging time. C) The unit effectively follows an actual grid pattern. Summary: Aiper support really stepped up their game and I am changing my review from ONE to FOUR stars. Aiper’s new product descriptions accurately depict the real-world user experience. While some of my earlier review observations still stand (as is), I would actually recommend the Scuba V3 at this time. (NOTE: Aiper did NOT ask me to update my review) ===== Original Review Below ===== I have been a pool owner for 26 years and have seen the gadgets come and go. The Aiper Scuba V3 is easily the worst of the products I have purchased. There is literally nothing positive to say about it, but I can provide a laundry list of negatives… -The “AI” is a farce and it largely spends time spinning around “searching” (not cleaning). -The battery life is horrendous, and getting worse (in only two weeks). You charge it for 4 hours for MAYBE 3 hours of decent runtime. -it is incredibly HEAVEY by itself, much less when retrieving it from the pool every three hours. -it struggles on vinyl pool liners, and 45° angles, and will stay in the same place “retrying” for 15 minutes at a time. -After a 3 hour cleaning cycle, our pool was maybe 1/2 clean (at best). We tried for a week, on each different setting. -The WiFi aspect is a joke, and loses all contact when placed in the pool. So, once it gets hung-up on its own stupidity, or you want to change the setting, you have to pull the silly thing out again. I could post countless videos and pictures of all this, but I am not spending anymore effort on it. I am not sure how it compares with competitors, but I can say that this is a HARD PASS, regardless of price or competition. Lastly, if you have never dealt with Aiper support, you are in for a treat, runaround and sent refurbished product (i.e. Surfer 2). Stay away from Aiper, they are all marketing. ... show more

  • Great Service
Color: Gray
Only used this for a few days and just tried the AI patrol at night. We will get the complaints out of the way first so you know what to expect. I did just return an extremely high rated plug in so I am very picky about my reviews. I have learned you cannot trust most reviews anymore. I did however keep my pressure setup as a back up. CONS 1. The fine filter could use alittle work. I would suggest an entirely different basket instead of just an insert. Id be willing to pay extra for it for the few times I would need to use it. But the standard filter it comes with works fine. 2. The next complaint is control under water which could have been alleviated by using hydrocom support. 3. App only supports one user should be a simple update to add in an invite feature. 4. Docking.....Wish it could float. PROS 1. Suction is adequate and so is scrubbing or I would not be able to make the first complaint in my CON list. The regular basket is fine enough to hold most visible debris. 2. Just used the AI patrol at night after a small storm and it worked well. Missed some debris in corners was cool to watch it run amuck with the lights on. 3. No more random patterns like some of the more expensive plug ins and what not. 4. Easy to use. Seems to do a decent job. No plugging in directly to the unit. You can charge it anytime. 6. Customer service is extremely responsive so that's a major plus. Does it save money? I am not sure yet...Its going to have to last awhile without spending alot on preventative maint or maint in general to save any money. Overall as with any cleaner do not expect to open your pool full of leaves with it. That will still require some effort on your part or paying someone to do it. For what I plan on using it for which is cleaning a few times a week and after bad weather it seems to perform well and outperformed the maytronics I had to return. I also flipped for the skimmer... its pretty neat. I caught myself steering it around just because I could. It helps the built in skimmer but is slow overall. ... show more

  • Very Good Product
Color: Gray
This has been a very good purchase. Be patient, the first few times, the robot was learning the shape of the pool, it didn’t work that great, but after that, it learned a very efficient pattern that covers all. The AI Patrol mode works great when you just have a couple dozen leaves on the pool floor. It sees them and goes for them. Sometimes they float up as it approaches, but eventually it gets them all, and relatively quickly. It had some confusion when one leaf was one the main drain. It approached the leaf, but the. turned away to avoid the main drain. But eventually it worked it out. Overall, a very good product. ... show more

  • Good vacuum, “AI” ineffective
Color: Gray
I had an earlier, less sophisticated Aiper (seagull pro 2024). This new version does a slightly better job, but i don’t think it’s worth the extra cost. While It’s fun to see it light up the pool at night, my biggest disappointment is that the ai vision has no noticeable impact to the speed at which it gets the biggest items of dirt like I had hoped or expected. Next disappointment: wall cleaning. Its strategy for wall climbing my kidney shaped pool isn’t very effective. It misses spots and wastes a bunch of time (and seemingly energy) The two areas I’m very pleased: 1) it has a very long battery life. 2) it does a great job of catching sand and pollen with the standard filter. Honorable mention: 1) charging station is nice…it could be easier to really get seated, but it’s much better than plugging in a cord 2) tracks instead of wheels. It doesn’t get hung up on the pool drains like the old one 3) the fine filter (even though I haven’t used it) 4) the water line retrieval is nice if you are actually able to get to it within the ten minutes it’s parked there. ... show more
