I feel compelled to write a review to relay my experience. I upgraded from an old 630 to this unit. I needed more capabilities to cover new European vehicles. I've used this a number of times now and it has performed as I expected. It has solved problems on BMWs, Audis and Mercedes saving me potential trips to a garage. I'm a home mechanic and know my limits but half the battle these days is knowing that should be addressed. For instance, a recent failed Fuel Tank Breather Value on a BMW X1. Super simple fix once you've read the codes and know what to change. Bottom line, this competes with other brands but if you've used Foxwell before, this will be very comfortable. I haven't found anything it can't tell me in this mid tear (meaning not the $1K+ pro tools) diagnostic tool. I recommend it, especially if you can get it on discount. I don't use it for long periods of time so have never encountered battery issues. Updates to the machine are much more simple now with WiFi capability. My old one was the one you had to take the SD card out and connect via laptop. The reports that can be sent via email before (or after) a diagnostic session are great and easy to read. Provides a traceable account of problems observed and in my case a starting point to research the fix. Thumbs up from me ... show more

Upon opening the scanner it came with about 70% battery life. After leaving it plugged in all night, and today trying several different cords (not an issue with our cords) this device will not charge. There is no light that indicates it's even plugged in (not sure if it has one), and when I hold the power button it gives me a dead battery symbol but shows no indication that it's charging. I bought this to help me track down a weird issue with my wife’s car to keep from blowing a bunch of money having it scanned or doing a bunch of part swapping hoping I find the right one. I was able to scan her car in great detail and do all sorts of sensor testing along with live data to find out that it was the camera behind her windshield causing her service brake light to stay on and disable all of her safety features and her cruise control. I’d have never thought of that on my own. Replaced a $1300 camera and everything is perfect again. All thanks to this scanner. It was easy to use too: now I have it and I can use it on all our vehicles and even charge people to do a detailed scan on their vehicles and give them a print out. Good scanner but site is misleading I'd does not code anything need the next stepp higher than this one and u need to read the fine print to verify it has the coding feature even if u have to chat gpt the question. I have a 05 ram Cummins with a fuel pressure problem. On Ram fuel systems this only goes back to 06! I'll keep it for the 10 &17 models we have. Still getting schooled on it.
