It is ready to use out of the box and comes with some lubrication for the walking pad. When in use it starts at a very slow pace, and you can adjust it as needed. Starts oddly enough at 0.6mph and can get ramped up to 3.8mph. I would recommend standing on the walking pad first before starting, unlike a treadmill at the gym, you probably don't have something to brace yourself in case of any slippage. I've only had this for a couple days so mileage (literally) could vary. If I see fit I will update the review later on. There is an app you can download that can help with adjusting the speeds. If you need a little extra push this free app may be helpful as you can "compete" with other people. I will admit I didn't see a need for this as I wanted to just be able to get some more steps when I can. Any parent will attest to this as I have newborn twins, time is at a premium, so if I can get 5 minutes or more I feel pretty accomplished. I did see on another review it wasn't good for those that are tall, I am roughly 6'3" and I didn't feel there was an issue with height. I think before buying you consider what your walking stride/gait is. Overall it has lived up to what I expected and I cannot complain. *minor aside* Since this isn't part of the product review, I was told that I would receive the product two days after purchase and it took 4 days in total for it to arrive. I will assume this is dropshipped, but I don't know for sure. It wasn't until the third day that I got any information on where it was, which led me to think the label was made but nothing else had been done. I hope others don't have the same shipping issue, but honestly, it is a minor gripe. Just wanting to make others aware of what could happen.

I had another small treadmill that started squeaking loudly after 2 weeks of use, so far this one is holding up to daily use & none of that God awful squeaking. I like the remote function & speeds. I use mine under a standing desk, it's so convenient & easy to reposition when I'm ready to go back to sitting. Good value for the price

First off, the good features: the walking pad is sturdy, easily movable, and small enough for apartment living/storage. The settings are easily adjustable even if you don't sync it to your phone (I've only had it a couple of days and have been sticking to just the little remote so far). I love the 300lb weight limit as I am currently about 250 and the higher weight limits are difficult to find. All I'm missing now is a standing desk (arriving tomorrow) so I can fully set up a work station. Now, the one downside. The walking pad was absolutely not designed with tall people in mind. I'm 5'10 with a long stride and a wide stance, and I think if I were any taller I would not be able to use this as it's right on the cusp of being too short/narrow. I am not able to use it at my typical gym speed of 3+ mph and have to keep it below 2.9mph to feel safe using it, as I can sometimes feel the rear rollers under my feet as I'm stepping forward. It's also very narrow, and it's all too easy to catch my shoes on the edges. The slower the speed, the easier it is to stay within the safe zone, but I would advise anybody taller than 5'10 to find a different option. Ultimately worth the investment and I'm excited to keep using it, but it will require a bit of extra concentration to use safely.

After some research, I got my husband to purchase this for me so this is from a female perspective. I just started using this walking pad and so far it runs very smoothly and I have not had to do any belt adjustments. It is lightweight I am able to move it at any time. when it is turned on it is very quiet and it is also quiet while I am using it. I am really happy with this purchase.

This treadmill is perfect for home and office. It is not bulky but with great load bearing that I feel secure running on it. The walking pad runs smooth and has proper buffer time when transit from moving to stopping. What make me excited is it compatible and can be controlled with PitPat App, it monitors the miles and calories I have run and burn, as well as earn points and unlock the levels, which makes workout more fun and encourage.

I just got this on 5/18/24. Super excited to use it and the remote is not working! I took the tab off and fidgeted with the battery, nothing! They send a spare battery in the packaging. That also did not work! I send an email asking for help as I can’t find any info in manual or online. Their response, we can help but need you to send in a picture of your id to verify that it is you and what model. I said nope and was just about ready to start a return. I sent another email asking for more help. Then I said to myself, duh, YouTube. Haha so all I had to do was hold the play button down for 5 seconds after flipping it to on and it worked. I feel like an idiot but it works. Also the only way I got it to work prior to that was the PitPat app. There is a remote function there.
