This unit is brighter than my 100w led street lamp. Gets ReaLlY hot though,used outside it was able to stay cooler. As a led manufacturer previously,the driver is way overpowed to raise brightness,old trick ,shortens products life alot.

This 50W LED light is bright enough to light up the whole backyard. The light comes with three heavy duty mounting bolts - the kind you would use in stucco or cement. But I will not be mounting it. Instead, I will be using it as a work light. I live in the city and it would be too bright for me to permanently mount on my house. I'm sure my neighbors would complain! The metal frame is a lightweight aluminum alloy with a decent coat of black paint. The cord is five feet long. There is a built-in adjustable mounting bracket that can double as a stand. The glass does get hot when the light is on, however. It has a seal around the glass to make it waterproof. I can't imagine that it would fair well if it got wet from the rain after being on for a while since the glass gets hot. I'm only giving it four stars for two reasons. The seal around the glass is messy. And the cable could have been designed better so that it is out of the way of the mounting bracket. If you use the mounting bracket as a stand, the cable prevents the light from sitting flat on the ground. But at less than $20.00 I would still recommend it! ... show more

It you just set and forget this will be perfect. Water resistant construction seems secure. The metal used for the stand is cheap and gets bent out of shape easily.     • Bright and energy efficient flood light
I am really please with this purchase! This flood light has excellent light output, and covers a broad area. Easily would illuminate 50ft-75ft if mounted on a post, fence or under a roof eave. It seems to handle weather well, and performed well in significant wet weather (heavy rains). I don't know how well it performs in extreme temperatures (for example freezing temperatures or direct sunlight and 90°+ F temperatures). As summer approaches and we have hot days, I will update the review if needed. I recommend this light for general needs for illuminating a residential or light commercial area. I would recommend outdoor use as this light produces a lot of light and may be too intense for indoors (unless you're looking to illuminate the interior of your pole barn!). I do video work for a living, and picked this up to replace an old halogen work light I use to light up background elements. I used it one a recent shoot and it came in handy. It's much smaller but kicks out a lot of light. It also stays cool, unlike the halogen. It's a great light to have on hand for a variety of garage/workshop projects as well.
